Wearing Gucci Guilty Parfum Pour Homme today. Didn’t think much of it when I picked it up but I can’t get enough of the labdanum drydown. It could be stronger but would then probably cost even more.
I prefer the original Cedrat Boise over the intense version mostly because although it's an all year rounder, I wanted it as a summer fragrance. The intense version is too much for summer, IMO. Kind of like how the Sauvage line is all year round, but the Elixir version, while the best of the bunch by far , is too much for summer.
No. Beau de Jour is very barbershop. And I would think the aromatic melange of basil, rosemary, and mint certainly give it a green component. And its amber in the base that is dominant, not patchouli. You are right on the old school vibe with modern components.

Viking is slept on, as you say, because the scent profile doesn't appeal to the majority. It's nothing special and I wouldn't recommend it on any list. Creed has other fragrances worth the attention. Viking will always rank close to the bottom for me.

I totally agree Allure Homme Sport does turn slightly powdery in the dry down.. that is my only gripe about the fragrance
