Great vid man, thank you 🙏 I like your conceptualizations on retrograde - I do think there is more to them than that though...I think they help define max strengths for the planets too because of chesta bala and uccha bala. I think it's safe to say (while recognizing it as a generalism and a hypothesis that doesn't necessarily take fully into account other planetary aspects and how the individuality in one's chart might shape the function of any particular planet) that for example 1st House Jupiter where it has Digbala *directional strength* exalted in Cancer at 10 degrees where it has Ucchabala *deep exaltation degree* (extremely strong Jupiter) is made even stronger by retrograde where it has strength of proximity/impact from chestabala. This would be max Jupiter in my opinion, and each planet has it's hypothetical max strength in certain positions based on directional strength from the kendra houses and exaltation points. *important to keep in mind Sun and Moon don't get strength from retrograde, but do still get directional strength from 10th House for Sun and 4th House for Moon. The Hellenistics thought the Sun has it's "joy" in the 9th house and Moon has it's "joy" in the 3rd house...I prefer the Vedic attribution of strength through digbala more though since even in Western Astrology the angular (kendra) houses carry the foundational activities in the life of the individual. Cadent and succeedent houses were in some ways designed to show less prominently than the angular houses (1,4,7,10)*
I think Jupiter, or any other planet, showing in a max strength position is basically guaranteed to show that particular placement strongly in the life of the individual. If someone has retrograde Jupiter in the 1st House in Cancer then Jupiterean themes will always express strongly in the 1st House of that individual, and thus will show very prominently in their life. Same with exalted Sun in the 10th, or exalted Saturn in the 7th retrograde, or exalted Mars in the 10th retrograde, or exalted Moon in the 4th, etc.
Even if other planets in the chart are draining these max strength placements, the max strength planet will still show itself prominently in a person's life. Obviously the more supported it is by other planets - the stronger it gets. For true max exaltation successes we would construct charts based around exaltations that still adhere to physical laws within the chart such as Mercury never getting more than roughly 30 degrees away from the Sun due to its proximity to it, Venus never getting more than 60 degress from Sun, Jupiter and the Sun in relation to the barycenter of the solar system, etc.
Obviously no chart will ever be fully exalted - but it's always cool to meet and/or witness individuals who carry the max exaltation strength potential of certain planets as they appear in that person's life.
I digress, I really enjoy your conception of how retrograding planets function and I agree, and also think they add to max potential strength for that planet. A sort of "with great power comes great responsibility" kind of situation. Retrogrades are also symbolic of reflection and circumambulation in the areas of life (houses) they show up in. I don't think people are wrong to say that some retrograde placements give "the ability to do things others can't" - in the same way I don't think its wrong for certain yoga combinations to denote essentially guaranteed success in a person's life. It's the job of retrogrades to account for that sort of particular quality that some humans possess. Mercury with digbala in the 1st and Exaltation in Virgo, plus retrograde, will give an extremely mercurial effect to that individual such that they can do certain mercurial things that other people marvel at. And they might not necessarily achieve success in that area of life - but regardless they will always have very strong qualities of Mercury showing up in the 1st House in ways that other people don't. This is one quality that retrograde can also give...in addition to your point about retrograde and memory and going back to do things again - I agree with that and have seen it play out in a fair amount of charts.
The responsibility piece of retrograde power is: make smart decisions to keep retrograde planets functioning well. The majority of the chart is almost always NOT in retrograde along with that planet, and so retrograde planets can often need a lot of support and healthy activation where they appear in one's life.
So what actually you say is that a planet if is exalted but retrograde will behave like an exalted planet and if it is debilitated will behave like debilitated.

We'll keep in mind that Combust means two things.... The planet which is combust( ie. Close to sun) looses its powers depending on how much close it is. And second Sun will overpower that planet in terms of Qualities.
For eg if Venus is retrograde and combust in 12H then Sun's Authority, Ego, Heat, etc will overpower Venus' Coolness, Beauty , Smoothness.Also the house whose Lord is Venus will suffer in terms of Chesta or Will power as Vakri graha's main karma is to put continuous effort despite apparent failure which ultimately brings success. But Sun overpowers Venus, so most probably Native will loose hope as someone else will outshine them in Matters of those houses whose Lord is Venus and also in 12H.
So you are quite Rough in terms of Spirituality , Bed pleasures, Foreign Travels, Expenditures. But your efforts to improve your qualities in these matter often looses hope as your Sun like Qualities like Authority, Boss, Father, Government overshadow Venus. For example you are not able to pursue Spirituality or perhaps you are not able to enjoy in bed due to Foreign Travels connected with Father , Boss, Goverment etc.

Combust planets are said to be planets who is under sun's "influence "
Here Sun's job is to make the native "pure" regarding the karakatwas of the "concerned" planet. So if you resist temptations regarding the "concerned" you may be able to overcome effects of combustion.
Also depending upon your charts placements combustion sometimes can deny the "materialistic" results regarding the concerned planet.

I can't remember them. Every planets different degrees at which they get combusted.

It is generally propounded that Jupiter negatively affects the results of the house in which it is placed. So an exalted Jupiter in 8th would weaken the negative traits of the 8th house, is it so?

Lot of things you mentioned happened with me. Like starting from zero, rejoining same company. My Venus is Exhalted in 7th house its retrograde and in 8th house in bhava chalit. And its Vargottam too.

I have Mercury RX in Virgo and my son has Saturn RX libra . I don’t really see these placement too often. Tbh. I noticed my son is very disciplined and I am exuberantly Mercury like.
He should be disciplined a bit serious towards life and will want and expect people to be righteous. Thats the quality of a strong saturn. Rest depends on complete chart. One planet alone cannot decide attributes

Different planets behave differently in retrogression. Jupiter exalted or in own sign does behave like a debilitated one if it is retrograde.
Have seen in many charts.
Retrogade and debilitated are two different things. Firstly, its a marak or karak for the ascendant chart, if its a kakrak, exalted and retrograde, 70% positive results will come. Swells your ego, some bad habits, too much expenditure are some examples of its negatives.

Because your 7th house lord, that is Saturn, has gone to 6th house (negative house). Also, you will always have some issues in married life and will have sort of an argumentative stance towards your spouse for no reason. Also, your lord of fate is sitting with Saturn too. Which planet is there in 7th house? And where is your sun?
