    This is why you home build there no beating a well made DYI drone over a Corpo drone

    Very happy to NOT own any DJI drones, so non-compliance is a piece of cake. 😎

    Is there a download to make the phantom four pro V2 compliant?

    Can you explain how this would work if the P4Pv2 was Standard Remote ID complaint or how this would work if this was tested with an Inspire 3 or any drone with SRID? SRID can’t be disabled once enabled so I would think putting a BRID module on a drone that already has SRID will do nothing but actually the opposite and just make you broadcast twice. This will include broadcasting the takeoff location + the live operator location. Essentially providing even more information about your location, no?

    Still waiting for an answer. Which Remote ID module did you test that was updating the take off location or pilot position?

    gotta fix your audio. it's too low, and your intro music is too loud. I want to hear your info!

    So my question is if DJI activates remote ID in newer drones say the m30 can you disable it and use this ID module?

    All broadcast remote id units work the same way as that one Paul. Standard RID will broadcast pilot location in real time. Broadcast RID will only broadcast the take off location. SO ANY RID device available will do this same exact thing.

    • @DroneU
      @DroneU  6 месяцев назад +1

      Well, we believed the same thing but we tested one of the RID modules, and it would actually recycle its position information. Aka update.
      Albeit very positive news that most modules work in this way. A win for pilots, who care to comply.

      @@ColoradoDronographyif you own them all, why can’t you test them yourself and let us know?

    • @ColoradoDronography
      @ColoradoDronography 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@airadaimagery692 Well, that's just it. We did test them all. Not one of them updated the take off location as Paul states. That's why the question was asked.
      My reply to your Ken Heron tested a couple of them... for some reason that reply is not showing up. So here it is:
      @airadaimagery692 Cool, but we cannot afford to rely on what RUclipsrs post. We completely and very carefully tested each one as they were available. Our intent was not to find one that would somehow help us try to avoid Remote ID Rules. Our main intent was trying to find the smallest unit that didn't interfere with some of our other gear. Did Ken Heron use a digital RF spectral analyzer to see how they could potentially cause other issues? We inspect a lot of cellular towers, radio towers, etc. and work in some very Wi-Fi congested areas. Just one reason we don't pay attention to what RUclipsrs say. They see things from a completely different point of view than us Drone Service Providers. Paul is a fellow DPS, that is why the question was asked. I would also like to point out that this video wasn't, "Hey everyone, we tested all these units out and found only one that will help you be safer". It was "Hey everyone, this one unit is safer than all the others." To be clear I doubt we have tested them "all". We have all the various units from DroneTag, HolyStone, Spektrum Sky ID, Both Bluemarks, the one in this video the Pierce Aerospace B1, Flight Test's EZ unit, the one from eBee, sorry I forget the name of it, and the Aeroping. All of those units would broadcast (or in some cases fail to broadcast) the take location. Not once did we see this get updated. That was obviously one of the things we made sure to check for. We will be using broadcast modules on standard remote id drones (with built in remote id turned off) just for this reason. I 100% agree with Paul, this does help a little bit.

    So when will the P4P be updated?
    Am I supposed to purchase an aftermarket unit for my P4P while I wait?
    I thought there were limited products available?

  • @rrittenhouse
    @rrittenhouse 6 месяцев назад

    But you can't use broadcast module with pt 107 still, right?

    • @keri-lynnbell6877
      @keri-lynnbell6877 6 месяцев назад

      Why do you think that? You can use a broadcast module under Part 107. Only difference is 107 pilots need a separate unit for each drone. When flying for fun you can move the unit from drone to drone whenever you want. Now there are some other differences, for example STANDARD (built in) Remote ID is required for OOP. If you have an older drone that doesn't have remote id, you can slap any approved remote id broadcast module to your 107 registered drone and you are good to go. Don't forget to update your drone info on the Dronezone to include the remote id serial number.
