Onetangi beach is Waiheke’s largest beach, with over 2km of white sand. It generally has more surf than the other northern beaches, which makes it popular for swimming and water activities. It is a popular beach and safe for swimming.
The facilities at Onetangi include public toilets, a beach store, two popular cafes, and a bus stop. Onetangi Beach does not have a children’s playground adjacent to it, but there is one further up the road within a few minutes walk.
Onetangi Beach is also the location for the annual Onetangi Beach Races, which is always a popular Waiheke Island event held in Feb/ March each year.
