Great video. I still play out with my Rouge RA90, a bit over three years now no issue.. I have the mahogany version with a Fishman soundhole pickup. The only upgrades that I did myself is a bone string nut and bone saddle which was easy for me to do. I recommend owning a inexpensive acoustic guitar like the Rouge that sounds good and plays well as instruments CAN and DO get damage and unfortunately stolen when performing out in the public... It happens. I will say, that Orangewood as a company treated me very poorly in over all customer service and facing.. Probably the worst out of any company in 24 years that I've been in the music business simply in contacting them. I write commercially licensed music under performance rights organization BMI, Inc as a songwriter/composer and I'm under The Mechanical Licensing Collective (The MLC) as a self-administrator publisher. I hope you have a great holiday and upcoming New Year... all the best! - Mr.Tom

Thanks for stopping by again! I actually just gave away my RA-90 to my little brother, but it was holding up just fine; I just had to start making room!
Sorry to hear about your bad experience with Orangewood; I have ordered from them twice now with no hitches, but every order is different. It is a kind of "roll of the dice" buying model.
I hope that you had a Merry Christmas, and have a fabulous New Year!

The slot at the bridge pin you see is to put better brake angle on the string at the saddle. It will have better tone from more pressure on the saddle.

In the beginning, what was that sunburst hollow body guitar behind you? On the wall to the right?

Good video! Both sound good to me. I gravitate toward warmer tones for most songs but that’s just personal preference. Affordable guitars are better than they used to be. I think both are a good deal.
    Cool shirt!

Yeah, it's hard to complain about all of the great value choices we have these days! I tend to like the "warmer" tones better myself. I have been long waiting to break out the shirt for a vid; it added some much-needed power and majesty ;-P

While I like the gloss finish and sound (both guitars were very close in sound) of the Rogue, I'd go with the Orangewood as well. It has too many quality points with still a great sound going for it.

Excellent synopsis, sir! The Orangewood just checks a lot of boxes making it hard to beat at this price point. Kudos to the Rogue for keeping up (or surpassing) with the Orangewood in the sound department!

Dude this usnt really a good comparison, because orangewood guitars cost 3 or 4 times more than a rogue does if you apend that mobey extra on the rogue youupdate all the hardware . I have a rogue ra90 i paid 60 bucks for brand new so

Hey Dave,I thought this was your review of the book or movie, "Bat*21". Did you ever watch that movie? Pretty good.
Were you planning to do a tribute stream to "Jazzy" John Romita. (1/24/1930 - 6/12/2023). A legend in the comic book industry! I'm sure you heard that news.
I know you attend Church, on Sunday mornings, however, do you ever get a chance to listen to that popular radio show, "Breakfast with the Beatles"? Sometimes I listen to that show, on Saturday mornings here. One of their last shows, they did covers the Beatles did. Wonder, which are your top 5 or top 10 songs that the Beatles covered? Future possible stream??

I have seen Bat21, WAY back when it was first released on VHS. Been a while. I think you mentioned 84 Charlie Mopic in another thread. I have seen it a long time ago at the suggestion of an actual Vietnam vet who said that it was the closest any movie came to actually being over there. Don't know that particular radio show, I'm afraid. The Top songs that the Beatles covered would make for an interesting segment. They had some pretty good covers early on!
