I’m not sure if they changed the rule, but the designer and publisher approved the video at the time of production which was just before the Game was released to the public.

In the rules on BGG there is no information about that gravediggers cant be in one row or column. I saw that is a designer suggestion.

Hi Gabriele, Usually Renegade puts it on their website, but it's not there. I bet if you contact them, they'll send it to you.
