    Can this sensor measure the mixed liquid phase? Say I want to have total liquid in the mixed-phase liquid.

    Very nice presentation for measuring volume in vessel. How the measurement will effect when the foam occurred on the surface due to sparging? for calibration, do we need to use real conductive media as reference, or can you normal water?

      First of all, we don’t expect really a thick layer of foam. As long as the medium is conductive, a certain foam on the surface doesn’t have any influence on the measurement. The capacitance probe is coming pre-adjusted/factory-calibrated from the factory. There won’t be any need for further calibration.

    How does the area of the capacitance increase with the level of the conductive liquid Need help for my exam :)

      The conuctive media has the same potential as the tank wall (both ground), so when the conductive media touches the insulation of the probe, this part of the probe has a much higher capacity compared to the uncovered part. As higher the level as bigger is the part of the probe with higher capacity. The capacity increase is proportional to the level increase.

      Diesel fuel is a hydrocarbon. It is a non-conductor. so how does it really work for fuel probe? i know more fuel = more capacitance but how?

      It can be used as density transmitter in oil water sepration tank. It should work with high and low level. If oil lable in oil water solutions tank reaches high level signal required to open automatic control valve.
      Please suggest suitable instruments
