Through this channel I became aware of your Audacity course on Udemy and am currently working through it. And I must say it is just absolutely refreshing, like a breath of fresh air. You explain everything so beautifully and in good order, you don't rush through things and make assumptions, you satisfy my need for the more technical details as well. I am very critical and see that not everybody can teach but you are an excellent teacher. I am confident that I will be a professional after it. I even find your voice and calm demeanor is very therapeutic. Thank you so much!
Hello, I was searching for another thing and your video answered my prayers. Maybe include "DYNAMICALLY MODIFY PITCH OVER TIME" in your video's title. Also, you might have NOT pressed OK the first time after changing to 120.
OH JUST MY GGGOOOODD!!! It's time to recycle my life in IT and re-learn everything from the bases in AUDACITY! I just din't know thattt..... OH MY GOD I can't believe what I've missed for !!YEARS!!
What I found annoying is there is nowhere to see the final time in the rest of the program, and when I edit something time shifted I need to zoom in to see the time track final time at the point i want to know.
That takes a 3rd party plugin. I use the Waves Level Meter. It allows you to measure the level on individual tracks. Their Waves Level Meter Plus has the ability to set the LUFS level in addition to measuring it. I think it runs around $35. They have a good tutorial video on their RUclips channel. I hope that helps.
@@adrianpinnock Audacity can set the LUFS value (and it does a great job) but it can't display it. You had asked about displaying it so my mind went to the Waves plugin. It can display the LUFS value on any track. The Waves Plus can both set the level and display it. But they're not free. I hope that helps clarify.
@@adrianpinnock It has a lot of features in it you may never use for a podcast. I'm hoping a future update of Audacity will give us the ability to meter the LUFS level in addition to setting it. That would be great!

How do you get audacity to display the LUFS on the current track?

@@LearnAudacity Super useful, why wouldn't you just use the LUF that comes with Audacity? Does Waves somehow do more?

@@LearnAudacity It does and that is the feature I want, I just want to know if there was anything else that separated it from the built-in plugin. 😁
