In doubles does the right safety come down and apex the #2 receiver? And does he have flats on the pass?
Depends on the passing strength if the FS is with him he will be down
He will be curl unless 3 pulls him to the flats
You better have cats that can GO!!!! I was OC for one of Texas all time premier programs for four years. Teams that hurt our 3-3 were guys that were not afraid to pound the rock repeatedly. Personally as a 20 personnel I HATE scheming the 3-3. It is a bitch. I would ditch my 20 and go 10 and run IZ and OZ, But that is not my favorite way to skin the cat.
I think any scheme becomes a game of cats, better players usually win games. This is way easier for us to teach consistently and we got really good results. Every scheme has flaws, just have to try and protect them.
@@CoachMac No question. The most important thing I learned in my years of coaching is that it does not matter what you as a coach know, the ONLY thing that matters is what your kids can do. That is why I am proud that I can run, the I , the Spread a bunch of different ways, Wing T. Bone, etc........ I used to be NOTHING but a Wing T guy. Then I went 0-10 one year because I was coaching kids that had no business running it. Duh I felt like a dumbass. Greg Davis the former OC at Texas taught me that particular concept that you need to run what your kids can do well at.
Yup, when I was younger I thought i could show the world how smart I was running everything. We were good at nothing.
