those fish broke off because the hook in their jig head is a little ro big/stiff. requires more like 12-15 flouro. for clear water they should make the jig head with a light wire so you can use 8lb and not break off
Lol we can’t win. When we use a Gamakatsu light wire hook in our jig heads guys want thicker. When we have a sharp stout hook in the tube head guys want thinner lol. I will say we use 8lb test with these all the time with no issues. We chose a thicker hook for the tube head because we normally drag tubes and the Juvy craw way out there with 8-12lb test line due to the zebra mussels. We knew we could get away with this hook because of the heavier line we’re using.

Travis clearly only catches fish because of FFS. I mean he has videos 8 years old just slaying bass before it even existed, throwing a hair jig in 3 ft if water, and watching him sight fish smallies in 20 ft if water. Travis fished the Bassmasters so I think he is going to catch them on a stock boat.

thats the only 1 downside to their tube jig - they need to make one with a lighter wire hook.
