Very supportive dad. The fact that you sell all your wares in a few minutes… very rare for any scale mom-and-pop business…anywhere. Do not let depression overtake one functioning mm of your thoughts/emotions.

Your message should be shouted from the roof tops.... not to give up even when it feels hopeless. I too had suffered from profound depression. Thank God I'm here in spite of myself. May all of us work at helping to make this world a better place. Now I'm going to try & find your book. Sending love from Florida
Although in my lifetime, (I'm 67) bread production has gone from awful mass-produced rubbish to supermarkets baking reasonable quality bread, the decline of local bakeries has meant the loss of a whole other level of baked products. I live in Oxfordshire so I will try to get to Watlington to check out Kitty's produce!!
I love bread! I live for bread😢 unfortunately I'm also diabetic and it's such a battle to resist so many foods that raise glucose levels 😢😌 so because of this i have to limit bread intake. Don't I wish there was a "diabetic friendly" type of loaf😕🙆
The real story here is just how horrible America is compared to the UK. The story, a young woman with depression starts to get joy by baking. Because of National Health Care, her parent can quit their job and help her. She can start a business, still get medical care, and parental support, and is now a well-functioning member of society. If this had happened in America, the parent could not leave their job as all health care would stop for their child. The kid would be medicated and if they wanted to bake would have to find a minimum-wage job in a chain restaurant and likely not thrive. Society losses in America because of their greedy for-profit health care, Americans are not free at all.
