Great product, however, using the OSB strips is a really horrible idea. Far more difficult to nail and screw into than fine. I agree with you with the crap from the home centers. It’s warped and it’s not a full three-quarter inch thick. I’m gonna lay some quality information on you from my 40 years of experience, don’t buy anything from the box doors 90% of it is crap go to a real lumberyard and get real one by three furring strips and you will find their far superior to anything at the centers. They’re straighter are to the correct size and you can probably get them in a furring strip grade or a one by three, which is even better
