    I love these, hoping to get a 95 or 96 FE 517, but having a hard time sourcing one where I have confidence it's in good shape.

    It's amazing. I have the same model year and Engine but with a pickup body (Nairobi, Kenya). Always wondered why it has an extra PTO axle on the gearbox. Makes sense. Dope! The maximum load capacity for that truck here is 2100Kgs.

    Definitely cool with how the bed works don’t see many trucks that do that would be cool with a 180 or an 86 on the back proper jdm hauler lol

    You are in a different lot, as we can see. Also, in miles, that's only 17,500. Hauling capacity is LESS than 3,000 pounds, about 2,750 to be exact! That 30-year-old truck is "like new".

    instead you called it mitsubishi, I think this is called Fuso, since both of them are separated company with same logo, while mitsubishi owned by nissan-renault, fuso is owned by diamler

    • @JC-zg4xe
      @JC-zg4xe 5 лет назад +5

      chiam heng liang Its Mitsubishi-Fuso and mitsubishi still owns 10% of the company. This truck was before fuso anyway.

    • @Compaxius

      J C Sold by MMC between 1990s
      since MMC is the parent company for Fuso, But being involved in a wheel hub recall that killed two people in Japan So Mitsubishi Fuso was bought by daimler

    I got it My 2006 Mazda Titan diesel tow truck car carrier work with that truck

  • @StefanBacon

    I have to strongly agree. Chicken tax has led to loads of shitty NAFTA trucks. I'm typing this from the massive sleeper on an international LT, and it's decent, but Daimler assembles Freghtliners and Fusos for the US market and they're garbage by comparison to a lot of foreign vehicles, and no selection We get maybe 5 or 6 Fuso models and they're basically just engine and suspension tweaks on the same cab-chassis-driveline. I refuse to even drive a Cascadia because the visibility is so terrible.

    Man you find weird stuff. So many questions that will never be answered.
    Why did they never use it? It looks brand new. You aren't going to make the payment on a commercial truck unless you put it to work.
    Why import to the USA? Steering wheel on wrong side, parts are going to be hard to get(if not impossible for the bed part). I'm sure commerical insurance and registering this with the DOT would be a real hassle, if not impossible. Maybe its just for private use, even then it seems rather impractical.

      All good questions...
      I own a 1989 Mitsubishi Fuso FE automatic turbo diesel and I drive it to work almost every day for the last 32 years and I hope I'll be able to get replacement parts so can drive it another 5 - 10 years...

    Good lord, I mean it's pretty cool of but *WHY* ?
    It's gonna cost $$$ to ship this beast!
    Americans are weird man.

    • @R33Racer
      @R33Racer 5 лет назад +1

      @CLP I'm sure America has smaller over-cab trucks similar to this.
      Shipping this will be about 3x the cost of a car, atleast.

    • @ItzEmu
      @ItzEmu 5 лет назад

      I'd think that for a vehicle in that condition at that age the price of the vehicle,shipping, importing fee would still be less compared to what I could find when I searched "over-cab car carriers" which were all semi-truck based.

    • @R33Racer
      @R33Racer 5 лет назад

      @@ItzEmu Trouble is, although it's in amazing condition, alot of that truck is 30 years old.
      There's plenty of things that will need attention that isn't milage related.
      To me it doesn't make alot of sense, but perhaps the buyer has a valid reason(s) for buying something like this.

    • @R33Racer
      @R33Racer 5 лет назад

      @CLP Having a look, it does seem like the US mostly got bigger trucks. There seems to be a trickle of cab-over smaller trucks over there now but it does seem like these types where pretty rare a few years ago and prior.
      So I will take your word on that. This just seems so extreme to me but I suppose it's easy to say when you see these.kinds of things everywhere here.
