This is hugely helpful! Not just the patch itself - which is absolutely stunning - but the process that you went through as you developed the sound is really instructive. Our NS3 just arrived a couple days ago and we're all in the infatuation stage right now. It had its maiden voyage yesterday in church and that went really well. I binge watched your tutorial videos and then spent several hours configuring and setting up some basic patches. Huge thanks for sharing your experiences and knowledge. Blessings! J

Your channel is my guide to navigate the complexity of the controls. Would you mind my asking where to find the Southern Shores sound, please? Cannot find the patch in the library online nor is there any reference when Googling. Many thanks.
Hi there, I did a little digging and it looks like the Southern Shores sound is only available via the Nord Stage 3's synth engine. I looked at the Nord Stage 2 synth presets from Nord and don't see it listed. Sorry about that!
hello DsoundMan what church are you part of i would like to see your church worship and how the sounds you are applying cutting thru the mix. i have been playing nord since 2015 and the one sound the cuts thru any mix with a band the best is The Mellow upright (surprisingly) and i am kinda bored with it. wondering how your sounding in the live mix with full band
Thank you so much bro.I’ve had my Nord stage 3 for a couple years and have loved it and this helped me because I’m just getting into sound design and stuff.I do have a question which hopefully you could help me out.Whenever I’m playing my Nord pianos there will be this white noice effect when I’m playing then when I let go it will obvi go away.Have you heard anything about this?Its rly annoying because it’s pretty prominent at church and have to use eq and stuff to Drain most of it out but also that messes with my pianos.thank you for ur time
I would check your synth settings sometimes it has white noise there. You can control how much you put into the sound though by adjusting one of the nobs for the synths.
Does it only happen at church? The reason I ask is because from your description of the problem the first thing that came to mind is a gain issue from the board that causes that similar white noise sound. The only other thing I can think of some crazy compression setting on the piano that is driving you piano signal too high and again causing that high gain sound similar to white noise. I hope this helps!
Thanks for the tip! For studio work or depending on the live location I would bring the highs down for sure. At my church we have another synth player and enough other instruments that battle for the lower end that I tend lean towards a brighter EQ in that setting. Just curious, what do you have for studio monitors?
6000$??? I bought my Nord Stage 3 (88 keys) brand new for 3500$ three years ago from a Norwegian musicstore. Current price in Norway is 3800$. So….you basically need to move, cause 6000$ for a Nord Stage 3 is insanity.
Depends on were you live on the planet. I bought my Nord Stage 3 (88 key version) brand new for 3500$ in Norway. I don’t think that’s an unreasonable price…
