Holy crap! The performance art section was sure a surprise - very cool. This has always been one of my fave Tull songs. Musta been pretty dang loud in front of Martin's Marshalls too.
I was amazed to see this video on Don Kirshner's Rock Concert mid-1976 or so. First time I had ever seen Tull on TV. Just love the British-culture references .. "Win a fortnight in Ibiza"
This video is puzzling me. I remember when it was on TV originally (yes, I'm that old) and it was lip-synched (or mimed as we called it then), and Ian looks as though he is miming- he always has been terrible at it :-) - but this ISN'T the recorded version of the song from TOTRAR - it's clearly a live recording. Anyone able to explain?

Its to bad Ian never played his flute on this song live.
Nick
this is a tv broadcast with a bootleg synched over top.
where can i get this boot??????!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think this song is autobiographical about Ian himself. He was a very smart kid,but hated school.
Its a live recording, lip synched for TV performance.
