After surviving a gruesome pitbull attack on 4/2/2020, Kel is back with Rich by her side as we all listen and react to the band Dream Theater and their song Awaken the Master from their most recent 2021 album A View From The Top of the World.

I've been through post concussion syndrome following an accident, and it can take forever to heal properly. What finally changed things was getting natural substances my brain needed to heal, especially vitamin K2 and LOTS of extra magnesium and fish oil, it all helped me and it might help you. Close friend of mine suffers debilitating migraines from post concussion syndrome she suffered from an accident as well. Nothing seems to help ☹️

I have not heard this new Dream Theater yet, it sounds great. Again, glad your both back to a healthy situation, I love seeing Kel’s reactions, they are awesome. Rich, Quick question, have you been watching/following any RUclips stuff in the last 2 years, have you seen the development of either of these two very young bands, both The Warning and Liliac have improved ten fold over the last couple of years. For how young these bands are and how quickly they’ve improved you’ll be amazed.

OMG, OMG, OMG was wondering what had happened to you both, happy to see you both are back on the scene again. Hello from the UK, one of my teenage mates Tony has a cousin who is Richie Blackmore of Deep Purple and Rainbow fame and a family friend is Gary LaPort who was in Jimmy Powell and the Five Dimensions in the 60's and was in a band called The Moontrekkers who supported the Rolling Stones on tour and had a young Rod Stewart playing harmonica for them. Their most infamous single they released was banned by the BBC for being too radicle for people of a nervous disposition and was called The Night of the Vampire, arranged and produced by Joe Meek. An arrangement of "Night of the Vampire", by composer and pianist Harry Whitney, was performed by the Kronos Quartet at Carnegie Hall in New York City in 2008. I would suggest you listen to it, the song was written by Gary, you won't believe it was written in the 60's.

The best way I recommend to get over post concussion syndrome is with Postmodern Jukebox. the first prescription I recommend is Dream on with Morgan James. If that doesn't get the mind back in line try Creep with Haley Reinhart. let the musical joy tears flow.
I know how Kel feels a bit physically. I had a stroke in 2010, now my left arm will be dead forever and need a cane to walk. To add to the issue I had been involved in music since I was 15 yrs old. I played/recorded professionally in Bluegrass since I was in my mid 20's. Started a Bluegrass club in 1996. Was in many bands over the yrs till I had my stroke. Really miss playing, etc. but that's what life deals you, just have to live with it... Hope you guys get better every day now and keep the show going..

I was reading water meters in a fenced back yard,, when a dog got thru an open patio door and came at me. I jumped the fence, but he got me in the ass. I'm not sure I can explain how excited I was to get the notification of this video. I'm so happy not only that you're both back but that you're doing well despite your very "full" 28 months!! I swear every time I get into a conversation with someone about how their last two years have gone I hear the craziest stories! My little family (husband and two little girls) went through covid, broken bones, stitches, emergency appendectomy, ruptured eardrum (twice for the same kiddo!), hearing loss (that one is me - just one ear and just partial, but weird because I have multiple Deaf and hard-of-hearing family members with a genetic loss but mine was completely random and unrelated), and honestly I can't even remember all the other stuff. I just tell people that for us it has been a comedy of errors.
So happy to see you both. Always get the best vibes and energy from you both and truly, truly wish you both well.

Condolences on all of the losses you've experienced. I know the pain of kidney stones. (I've had 4 in the last 20 years, 3 on the right and one on the left). The last one was 4mm and had a leeetle bitty point on it and yes, I passed it. :ouch: Fortunately, I have a fairly high tolerance for pain, but I really dread feeling any kind of twinge like the onset of a stone.

I had a kidney stone in 2014. It lasted 3 weeks, and was painful as FUCK. Had to take tramadol.

I got to see them on the tour for this album here in the states, it was unreal, also the opening band Arch Echo is an instrumental prog band, i highly recommend you check them out "Color Wheel" would be a good start, also glad to see my metal brother and sister back, we are all blood brothers and sisters says Iron Maiden

Once again, welcome back guys! The beginning of this song, has JR's trademarked "snarling pig sound" that I LOVE so much! Dream Theater is in a league all to their own! The only band I think comes close to their caliber, is U.K. .... perhaps the most under rated prog/jazz/fusion band of all time.
