I hand-craft my own cutting boards in the log cabin. I can only make a few at a time, so you have to be first to buy one when a new batch is released. Every board is signed by hand with its own unique number, representing how every cutting board is unique. They are made from hard nordic oak, making them extremely durable, holding up for a lifetime of abuse. Instead of having a plastic cutting board that really should be thrown away after 2 years.
I was told that my dream of selling handmade products wouldn’t work in today's world where everything is mass produced. I want to prove them wrong. My goal is to expand into other handmade products. Making a series of lifetime quality handmade goods. Breaking free from mass production, supporting our environment.

This bed is 100% made from natural materials. I didn't want to stop with only making my own bed frame and then just buy a plastic foam mattress and bedding. So I got the pleasure of visiting one of the rare people here in Sweden who still know the craft of handmade mattresses. Sandra makes and sells her own mattresses from Swedish wool! Everything down to the threads in the stitches are handmade from natural hemp thread! I believe that she now sells the exact same bedding that she made for me. The pillows and blanket are all made from wool, which is surprisingly very comfortable now in the summer.

I have enjoyed watching every one of your videos from the very first day of clearing and cutting logs. I have saved your information and I am still going to buy two of your cutting boards. I would love to stay at a place like you have, so I can enjoy those moments of solitude and nature. So I enjoy that part of your life that I can watch and enjoy. It is the first time that I have seen your video go fast forward lol. But I can understand why with the fixing and refixing to fit each part of the bed just right. You are a true craftsman in every sense of the word. My grandfather's ancestors came from your area of the world. There are times that I wish that I could experience a part of their lives. I can see some through you and what you have been doing these past few years. The men and women back then had to be a strong bunch of folks. Have you considered having some stock to take care of you for food and such? How long do you stay in this cabin within one year?

i live in a small coastal town in the south of the UK, so sadly no pine trees close by, but in the kitchen i have a jar with some pine sap wood, close your eyes and inhale, wonderful smell, and then i had to do the same with some spices for a Christmas smell, but by far my favorite has to be the smell of Cardamom
His dog is the absolute king of selective hearing. The way he sleeps through all that hammering is amazing.

Erik. I am a retired carpenter and my father was a carpenter also. He had a lot of cordless tools like your auger bit. Now I wood carve and there is nothing like hearing the tool cut the wood instead of the noise of the tool! 😃😃 Still have to have power tools but nice that the old tools don’t just get lost! Beautiful job on the bed. That mattress looks so comfortable! I remember the first tree you cut down for the cabin, it’s been a great journey to this point. Awesome job! 👍👍👍👍

The absolute last thing I would ever do regarding this channel would be to criticize any aspect of the last few years of this man’s life and his dream. But doggone it, I would really love to see front & back porches for sitting & contemplating one’s accomplishments & taking in nature’s symphony, hanging up tools and skis, organizing ones outdoor equipment, maybe (dare I say it?) a mini fridge, a place to dry animal pelts, etc. This gorgeous retreat will need a name soon too. Just NOT Grankvist’s Getaway, that would be terrible! I cannot wait for any and all of it!

I built a cabin (stick frame) on some property I owned in the early 90's, and I can say there is no greater satisfaction to be had. Watching you brings back so many memories - great memories. Well, actually... no. Those matresses need lots of maintenance, and deform very easily.
They may have other good reasons to be used, but durability and practicality are not in the list.

I checked her webshop, and some would might say it's expensive, but no it's not. It's 100% handmade and only with 100% organic materials, no artificial colors, and no chemicals. 👍👍👍
- the only con I can think of, are the risk of moths as those pesky little critters love wool. I would suck to have moth larvaes in your maddress. ☹

Your skills and craftsmanship never fail to amaze me, you restore my faith in young people every time I view your video. Nobody deserves a big comfortable bed more than you. I can’t think of a more deserving person. As someone already noted in the comments, the final touch would be a front veranda so that you could sit out there with your puppy, sipping on a cup of coffee while contemplating your journey and surroundings. Congratulations on your accomplishment, you should be very proud, and I hope you have opportunity to enjoy it with your family.
