  • This is how we in Sweden managed to travel through our vast terrain for many years. By wooden skis and pulk. Then came the snowmobil. But now the pulk is coming back by people who want to enjoy the superior calmness of nature. As there are so many bad plastic pulks I wanted to build the traditional Swedish pulk made by wood. Here is were I later on met Dan who is the only man still crafting the original pulk from 1929 at segebadenpulkan.se . I was so lucky to be trusted into his small workshop and learn how the old Segebaden pulks were and are still made by him. And then to actually be able to make my very own real Segebaden pulk! This is something I am genuinely passionate about. So I helped Dan start a course were you or a group can come and do the exact same build as I did, a truly unique experience. Here it is: segebadenpulkan.se/sv/sidor/b...
There are so many traditional crafts here in Sweden that I want to visit and show here on youtube. But this channel is more about my own journey with the log cabin and my life-style, which is great but I wanted to start a channel more open for any kind of content. So I started the channel "Grankvist Outdoors" / @grankvistoutdoors9661 . There you can see how I built my Segebaden pulk. There will be smaller projects and future uncut versions of my final films on this channel.
The wooden skis I am using are from the Swedish company: www.tegsnasskidan.se
The ultra-light tent and stove that only weigh 2,5kg! are from the Swedish company: packraft-sverige.se
They have a code for 15% off: grankvist2022
The winter clothes I am wearing are from the Swedish company: www.revolutionrace.se
Special thanks again to Dan for keeping the traditions of Sweden alive.

This young man never ceases to both inspire me, and make me feel inadequate. At 52, I'm still young enough. I am pretty busy outdoors by today's standards and consider myself pretty tough and capable by today's standards. But this remarkable kid makes us all look like chumps. I'm proud of your dad and grandad, Erik. They taught you so much more than skills.

The storytelling reveals the landscape and its sparsity of human impact and the homecoming to smoke the fish was wonderful. We felt your sense of belonging in that cabin. But the floating downriver and the initial chill you can keep ;)

I'm a grandpa and a little twinge in the back of my brain said I should worry when you take on a camping trip like the one you just finished. Us old people have the knowledge, that just the wrong step in either direction could mean disaster. So I will always worry, especiallywhen I don't hear from you for a while. Its OKplease do what you must, I know you will be as safe as you can (just grandpas over thinking ). The dog is not as sill as before and loves you much. Be safe and take care. Bye for now. Greetings from Australia!
I have just come across your channel and I have to say, I am absolutely blown away with your dedication and skill!
There are very few people in this world who have done what you have, especially at such a young age, it‘s very inspiring!
I am 33 and haven’t accomplished close to anything like I’ve seen on your channel, well done man!
You should be extremely pretty oud of yourself, your videos are amazing too! Seriously impressed
P.S can you please come and build me a house 😂
    Keep up the awesome work

When i was in the army we had some special kind of hides under our skis. They helped a lot in situations like 9:10. They are like one way blocking skis from slipping.

What you do is remarkable and it is great to have Barr part of your journey. I don't know how he keeps from freezing his little feet but how you treat him and care for him shows the love you have for him. Your videos are out of this world and with your drone shots, you accomplish so much. Thanks, take care and stay safe!
