The one who lulls drowsiness to birds, dropping them mid-flight; who stirs the seas, halts the course of rivers, and makes quiet the rain.

Oðinn has been the theme of many a day now, your offering the last in a line of urgent calls to pause and hearken. It is a message of sacrifice. To sacrifice one's own needs for knowledge that will assist others. To sacrifice one's flesh by hanging from the tree, a practice also of First peoples. A humbling. To begin over, the childlike mind that knows nothing of itself, only that it is among the stars, the smallest fraction of nature whose eternal being is as vast as the cosmos. Thank you for forcing me to stop and listen. ~*8*~
