gazing over the yard, I can see the motivation of Coil's music in every plant--from rotting log, to thin saplings, clumps of wet clover... I just want to study those things all day to this music.
@@cornale the doors and windows are all shut my friend, that was some mighty smart advice you gave me, you must be some sort of magic man or idiot savant or something really special.... kudos
I found this album at an early age when most of my friends were listening to new metal...it had so much depth and satisfied me in a way that not many albums have some 20 years later
I have only discovered this band today, and the music and words affected me profoundly, I felt at times on dangerous ground, nonetheless I listened without distractions and it definitely is magickal music. I can't believe I've not heard this band before as they have been going since 1982, I just did a check and see they were connected with Psychic TV and Throbbing gristle. I was aware of Psychic TV and their interest in A.C. Not sure if I heard TG anyway I'm just figuring it out. I felt fantastic after listening to this, almost as if I had been loving and caring for my shadow! Powerful stuff!
Bought an album ages ago and forgot it till now (Love's secret domain). Great tracks with thoughtful sounds and interesting rhythms and cuts. Listening to more of their music on RUclips and finding a lot of tracks are 9/10. (Grrrrrreat stuff and I'm over 60).
Love Secret's Domain is my absolute personal #1 album of my favourite "band". I recommend headphones for COIL. As I listen to Love Secret 's Domain a thousand times I still found new sounds between the others sounds. And of course MTPITD 1+2 are musick for professional listen, full of ideas and magick. I miss them. If you want to listen to similar sounds, look for CYCLOBE, COMPOUND EYE, SOISONG, THE THRESHOLD HOUSEBOYS CHOIR, THIGHPAULSANDRA (solo), DREW MCDOWELL (SOLO), COH, DANNY HYDE. All were members of COIL. It's worth to discover their sounds. Enjoy & good luck...🥀🐙
I've reached a new level of schizophrenia playing and succesfully getting synced astral disaster time machines angelic conversation and musik to play in the dark 1 & 2 without it sounding like it's one on top of another like it's a single album also believing it's like a secret meant to be found
The only thing that i have listened from Coil before was Time Machines, and i was stuck listening to that album, saying that the other albums are worse than TM, but now i'm listening this and i think is really awesome!
I don't think you can have 1 without 2 and vice versa. Together these 2 are the absolute summum of head music of all time! Nothing else comes close. Even if you think you're going to make it through with your brain still in one piece, Where Are You and Batwings will just destroy you in the end
Part 1 and 2 are cosmological experiences in sound. Truly experimental and beautiful, I hope the Coil fanbase starts growing more, yes, even knowing that both of them were messed up.
I like to turn and face random people in Target directly while John Mellencamp is playing over the speakers and tell them that I know why the birdcage sings It wraps its song round everything
Wow Queer, ill give the uploader this he states ( sourced from MP3 ) so he didn't pay a lot for the Music. im here to check out this music because I was on ebay & saw the LP listed for 23,000 Yeah thousand! I was like what?
That is a rare edition of the vinyl LP called the "trauma edition" that was limited to 27 copies and smeared with John Balance's blood. I remember when Coil sold it for $500 on their website in 2002. But still it isnt worth that much maybe $1500. People over price Coil stuff way too much.
My music night crew has put this up for debate - which is better, Volume 1 or 2? Hard to deny 1, as it created moon music. half of my crew favors that. But I'll take ether and be very happy. Narrowly favoring #2.
Has anyone seen the video for “Where Are You” with the octopus woman? It’s an old black and white film segment that some fan added the song to, or vice versa- at least, it looks old. It’s mesmerizing, and fits beautifully with the song. It’s pretty easy to track down on RUclips- I highly recommend watching it. Enjoy! =][=
@@ahanatasmim You can find the video on a RUclips channel called “KOMASEX”. I remembered your request when I came across it again a few weeks back, and have been trying really hard to find where you left this comment so I could let you know. I’m so happy that I finally found it! (By the way- I’m the same guy- Mark. I just have been using a new name for a while on here-)
I fell asleep listening to this last night about mid-way through. At some point later on, I woke up, opened my eyes and this stuffed animal (a monkey) my kid had left on the bed was inches from my face, staring at me. It felt as if it was devouring my soul. I hollered in pure terror (I have very vivid dreams and sleep walk on occasion).
I dare to write, that this band has a certain similarity, with Throbbing Gristle that I do not doubt that it is an influence, at least what Coil band is not new. It offers us. Greetings from Mexico.
I've listened to a bit more of it since, and some of it isn't bad. "Ether" is a GREAT song, but yeah, a certain melodic and hypnotizing edge to the first volume is lacking, here.
i can't agree to somar29 i enjoy the work since 26 years and this is for me another masterpiece dim lights dim volume and listen from the first to last second it massages my mind
i'm the opposite of that, i rarely listen to the first volume in comparison to this one. I always felt a deep connection to this album above most other coil records, one of my favorites along with ape of naples.
Somar29 I disagree. For me, while V.1. was very good, V.2. is a masterpiece. I very rarely listen to the first one while I've spent countless hours listening again and again to this one. Matter of taste I suppose.

The large doses of acid probably help to.

the last track makes me weep. jhon inspires so much beauty in his glossiolallia.
Coil's music is a parallel world where you can find the true magic
I've never heard a more personal and somber album in my entire life. That is a feat truly worthy of an award.
Discovered this today. This album is so sublime
Batwings...not many songs that have touched me so profoudly...

Try listening to Loves secret domain
right on, hope you are still enjoying. Ape of naples and Love's Secret Domain Demos.... whew, those are good at night
This album is like an audio head massage for me.
I think Tiny Golden Books might just be my favorite Coil song.
Batwings.!!! On headfones.!! Totally awesome!! At 45

LSD is the best
I LOVE the occult influence in their music, I really feel like you could use this music to summon a spirit or something lol

Forever magic.
Good Heavens, Coil channeling Tangerine Dream at their best!! Who would've thought. Amazing stuff.

Wtf does that mean? Even knowing that.....so what? Makes no fcking sense.
Big thumbs up on the upload!

Ether is so good. I want the records for Part I and II, but they are pretty pricey.
There was a re-issue of part 1 recently and it doesn't cost much!
vinyl around 30 euro black version of the part 2 which will be released in the next months. and sure expensive colored versions etc
