    This is potentially useful ... but you haven't got BASIL!!! Grrr! What would you recommend for growing basil indoors in the UK (not very sunny much of the time, obviously)?

    How did you deduce the information that you included in the table?

    • @MrHouseplant
      @MrHouseplant  3 года назад

      Based on light requirements of individual plants (information on DLI that I found in various online resources and also my personal experience from growing a lot of these plants) and based on measurements of each of the lights with a PAR meter

    this is pretty urgent but i don’t know if u will see this. my cousin had her kids over today and they were playing around and broke one of my pileas from the stem. if was at least a foot tall. i put the broken top half in water. will it be okay?? or is it to late?? is there any way to save it?

      All you can do is put it in water or pot it directly in soil and provide as much bright indirect light and warmth as you can. It might root, it might not. We can't control nature. We can provide the best conditions for the plant to root then the nature will take its course

    I brought a 65-watt LED light from a random Amazon seller....it was producing as much LUX of light as a 22-watt LED from a name brand seller. Buy beware.

    • @MrHouseplant
      @MrHouseplant  3 года назад +3

      Yes, most plant grow lights that I see people buying on Amazon (I'm talking to mostly new plant owners) are low quality, not strong enough. Which is one of the reasons I created this tool. Were both lights white lights? In that case you could use a light meter and measure lux. But if they were purple, light meters will not show a correct reading as most of the light would be in the spectrum light meters don't measure
