Either heavily exaggerating how little he spent or he's actually the luckiest E7 player ever. Tons of +30 limited artifacts, tons of SSS 5*s, large pool of late game gear on a relatively young account. 14k wouldn't get you this on most accounts ($700 is mystic pity).

Ngl in a gacha game to only spend 1400 and win the wc, I think that’s a testament to how f2p friendly it really is. Of course rng always plays a role in gacha games but still, you don’t see those kinds of numbers winning swc or being highly ranked in summoners war

Looking at his builds made me remember when Polt (Retired SC2 Pro) became the top TFT player. The man simply played the game well, did not concern himself too much about the meta.
There are some units Marguerite used but didn't show. I remember him picking Crimson Armin, Zio and Briseria as well. He also tried picking Roy during prelims but he was banned twice. And also Roana, but she's not that interesting.
I actually also still prefer lifesteal draco on LHC, but I'd say i lucked out with my gear on her and managed to land destruction level cdamage alingside her usual lifesteal stats.
Low spending players able to rival high spending players is more a testament of how the progression is completely rng and doesn't respect your time and investment at all. Imagine being a guy that min-max as much as possible in terms of farming, enhancing gear and summoning, but someone who spent less time gets better gear and can build more units than you.

Generally farming golem is more whale behavior because you cant afford to farm it over other hunts
