I know I know I always say it ..... It's a great strength of your videos how you repeat all the messages and lessons. absolutely a huge fan of Mike Haduck Masonry
Another useful, enjoyable video perfect for the homeowner who wants to remediate problems before they become unmanageable. I wonder whether your dentist watches your videos and whether he has a hammer like yours.
Fast and functional, at minimal cost. You didn't have much to work with on that job, Mike, but it should hold up fine -- until the next hit and run. Thanks for sharing.
Hey Mike great video as usual! I won't be waiting for them anymore I'm finally getting back to work tomorrow 5/7/2021 I shattered my femur on 10/3/2020 these 60 year old bones take a long time to heal! Hello from the Granite State!!!
just redid my stone over concrete steps that were all falling apart with the instructions in your videos and it turned out pretty good wish i had known 15 years ago to use portland and sand when i covered my front steps with bluestone .i used type s the home depot told me to and it turned to dust from freezing and thawing
Mike, Thank you again for sharing. To fix corners on steps that have crack and fell off, which cement product would you use? Do you have a video on repairing corners? I would appreciate your help.
WHERES YOUR ROAD VEST LOL blue route is dangerous! lol i thought i saw you on a milk carton ha ha where you been????? mike i cant tell you how many successful jobs i have done by watching your video's thanks mike!
Tell the drivers, steps are for walking, not a bumpy hill to drive on. Jokes aside. Nice little job you did. Keep up the good work, and them good videos Sir.
My wife borrowed my new F250 truck to go to the store because I was buffing out her Nissan Rogue. She came back and said see what someone did to your truck at the store, the read door was dented and running board pushed under it then, the transition piece between the rear door was fine then after the that the rear quarter panel was dented in. I asked her if anyone seen the car that did it and she said no. I then told her that surprised me because it had to be the only car painted the same color yellow as those steel poles at gas stations. What she did was turned to soon and drove the pole into the door. She then realized her error and straighted out, missed the transition piece, then turned back into the pole and pushed in the rear quarter panel. Ok, sure she never drove a full sized truck, but what got me was she said she didn't hear anything and didn't know she did it. That had to sound like the titanic breaking in half 😂. What really sucked though was the fact I was buffing out her vehicle when she borrowed mine. A few months later she borrowed my truck so she could go to her mother's and borrow her car. She parked my truck on the street and then backed her mothers car into my truck. So she borrowed my truck to borrow a car to hit it with 😂. To this day she refuses to even move my new truck over in the driveway or up a foot in it 😂. Another time she hit the city building stone work when we were in Pennsylvania once, probably gave Mike a repair job 😂. She took off though because was scared, yeah in my truck a hit and run 😂. I never yelled or acted stupid towards her over it, accidents happen. But am sure glad she said she won't even think about borrowing my 2021 F250 and literally walks way around my 2020 super duty F350 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. Married almost 25 years now, those were the "for worse" times the minister spoke about 😂. Oh, she still refuses to say she heard anything with that pole she hit. She does blast the stereo when she drives, but still, you'd hear and feel that.
Hi Mike as usual another great job. Question when you check for slope away from the house on the stairs in this video what should the bubble look like on your level? Thank you, always look forward to another video. Ted
Hi again Mike, is the Home Depot the place to get sand and cement for the projects? How about rocks? I’m trying to find a quarry. Thanks for the content. You are a real artist, and your show is like watching Bob Ross make a painting!
My neighbor has brick steps and slate treads. The slate is less than 2” thick and it was hit by a car and the bricks broken from the mortar and the slate is split along a few sediment lines and I think new cement won’t patch it enough to hold the treads together. Are they better off getting new slate treads?
Hi , no specific rule, here it layed into place and wasn't moving so no need for a shim and with the fast drying cement the job was complete with in a hour, thanks mike
Hey Mike, great job! I was wondering if I could use the Cement All as a paint and add some color pigment to it to paint over my walk way after a repair using the cement all. I have used the portland but after a rain it's gone. Want something that will stick. Can I use the Cement All in the same way? Thank you and have a good evening.
will break in the same place. 1. it was necessary to strengthen the base and leave for a week. 2. replace the steps with a whole or cut parts so that the largest part was where the foot steps.
Hi, the step been hit with a car twice, rapid set cement is set after a half hour, I charged the apt owner 65 dollars and was done with the whole job start to finish In a hour, i dont overkill or rip my customers off, i give them the options and let them decide, thanks Mike

Jokes aside. Nice little job you did.
Keep up the good work, and them good videos Sir.
Thanks Richard, mike
Another great fix Mike , if my wife hit those steps they would have been totaled , and not her fault !
Hi Rocco, I understand, lol, mike

How does a car get close enough to hit the steps?
Maybe you need to suggest they have you install some road stone tire stops Mike?
Hi pensive, they drive right up on the sidewalk from the main street, 2and time it's been hit, thanks mike
Hi Mike as usual another great job. Question when you check for slope away from the house on the stairs in this video what should the bubble look like on your level? Thank you, always look forward to another video. Ted
Hi Ted, I cant remember but usually a 1/4 th bubble, thanks mike
Good. Video
Thanks Brandon, mike
Yes
Thanks again, Mike
Hi again Mike, is the Home Depot the place to get sand and cement for the projects? How about rocks? I’m trying to find a quarry.
Thanks for the content. You are a real artist, and your show is like watching Bob Ross make a painting!
You can I get some of mine at Lowe's and sometimes my local hardware store. I don't know about a quarry
Hi paul, some of the stuff at lowes ,sometimes landscaping supply yards or stone and brick yards, check around, thanks mike
My neighbor has brick steps and slate treads. The slate is less than 2” thick and it was hit by a car and the bricks broken from the mortar and the slate is split along a few sediment lines and I think new cement won’t patch it enough to hold the treads together. Are they better off getting new slate treads?
Hi Joe , usually new threads are the best fix, I personally prefer that if possible
are there any rule of thum for when to shim the slab? this time you only used cement but some time you shim with small stones.
Hi , no specific rule, here it layed into place and wasn't moving so no need for a shim and with the fast drying cement the job was complete with in a hour, thanks mike
Hey Mike. I am surprised you don't put "Set Control" in any of rapid set products.
Hi, I only use rapid set when I want it to dry fast, so no need for me, thanks mike
Hi Sherry, no cement all does not work well as a paint, I would add a little glue to the Portland first, thanks mike
Have you ever used the Set Control chemical to extend the working time of Rapid Set? If so do you have an opinion of it?
Hi, I haven't, if I do a job that I want to dry a bit slower I use quikrete motar repair, thanks Mike
I’ll never do another masonry job without thinking 🤔 “ what would mike do ?”
Thanks Gary, mike
What masonry mix would be best for Mafia Cement Shoes?
Hi Roy, I am not an expert on that, lol, mike
4:2:1 sand : portland : pasta sauce
will break in the same place.
1. it was necessary to strengthen the base and leave for a week.
2. replace the steps with a whole or cut parts so that the largest part was where the foot steps.
Hi, the step been hit with a car twice, rapid set cement is set after a half hour, I charged the apt owner 65 dollars and was done with the whole job start to finish In a hour, i dont overkill or rip my customers off, i give them the options and let them decide, thanks Mike
Beat the devil outa it!!!
Thanks Sam, mike
Sounds like you're working along the Schuylkill Expressway.
Hi Pete, right on main street, thanks mike
Just as I said get the level you got the level.
🤣🤣🤣 05:05
Thanks Wendy, mike
There is nothing that a Dentist with a little Portland and a little dirt can't fix. TP
Thanks TP, mike
No big deal 😉
Thznks dracca, mike
Should've trashed their yard sign, then you would of repaired their well being.
Thanks, mike
