I had a year of nursing about fifty years ago before I bailed out. With that being so long ago, I couldn't remember how bone was repaired. I have two breaks in my foot now and am curious as to what's going on in there. Your explanation and illustrations are easy to understand. Making it simple and easy to understand is the mark of an excellent teacher. Thank you. I wish you continued success.
i broke my clavicle and watching videos like these has helped me understand the fracture im dealing with. luckily i had a fairly simple fracture, no serious displacement or skin penetration. this video was helpful to me. thanks.
I broke my humerus and it was operated and titanium implants are added this lecture actually helped me a lot in understanding what is happening inside now
Thank you so much for this video! I'm a new nurse at a long-term care facility, and now I can't wait to get back to work because I fear the patient is not being assessed and treated properly, and I want to do a proper assessment and ensure the treatments are being implemented correctly
Wow. I'm very fascinated and impressed with the effort of this video. The drawings are really beautiful and so is the explanation. As an artist, i really appreciate this kind of things. A big thumbs up for u!
M having my university exam tomorrow n m relying on your videos now. This vdo is very helpful. Also ur pharmacology videos r very very helpful (diuretics, antihypertensives, etc). Thanks a lot.
Hi Armando, thank you for doing such a great job! Would you be so kind and make some video about the upper limb anatomy and the most common injuries ( SLAP lesion, shoulder impingement etc.)? All the best
thank you i've been watching monotone people do lectures for the last 45min and i just woke up but for some reason feel sleepy, then suddenly i find this video, definitely LIKED & SUBSCRIBED
so I broke my clavicle and I was wondering how that works... I`m lucky to have found your perfect explenation of a complicated process in an easy to understand way, without dumbing down! Thank you very much :D
this video is really helpful...as my exms are going on n i cnt read piles of notes n waste hours to imagine n revise the concepts ....it gave exact information needed n beautiful diagrams to write in exam
Hey Mr. Armando, Your videos are really interesting and helpful, I appreciate it and Hope everything good happens to you as you serve kindness for helping us to a better understanding. But if you dont mind, I want to give you some suggestion. Could you please give the references of the topic you're discussing in the description box? thankyou so much :)
I had osteomyelitis when i was 10 it is so painful i was on hospital for 2 months and it destroyed all my growth plates and 85% of my tibia. Amazingly i fully regrew my tibia at 12 years old when doctors predicted 15 years old.
I had a stress fracture on the side of my foot by my small toe, and this happened back in January, now I rarely have pain. I can run and walk on it but, I also rest it at times to not overwork it. It's been 5 months now and I'm gonna go back to the doc maybe in June. Does this mean I'm completely healed, or close to healing, or that I am healing well? Thanks for the video!! It was very great.
Reading about bone fractures now in my Medical Surgical Nursing book. Healing: 1. Fracture hematoma 2. Granulation tissue 3. Callus formation 4. Ossification 5. Consolidation 6. Remodeling Thanks.
Armando, you asked me to comment, like, and subscribe, so here you go. I'm only going to comment though. Because you can't always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you just might find, you get what you need.
In the beginning of your video you stated that bone fractures are increased by Vit. A deficiency, I think you meant Vit. D deficiency? The reduced Vit. D would reduce calcium absorption leading to osteopenia and thus reduced bone density.
Great Video but S. aureus isn't the only infection that can cause osteomyelitis, Streptococcus and Mycobacterium tuberculosis can as well. Cheers for the diagrams though very cool
Nice layout and love the illustrations! Bit fast paced- which is better than too slow - but a middle ground would be good just to help the info sink in:)
Sir, plzz can u make a video on the fracture in detail.. In briefly manner.. This video is so much accurate but I think we need some more study material on fractures. I hope u help us. So, thankful to you.. U made awesome videos.
OMG OMG OMG. What an AWESOME video. I have an exam in 2 days and I'm gunna pass with flying colours. Love everything about it. Just FANTASTIC. Thank you.
Hope my bliming dislocated shoulder gets fully restored. I assume that at the end of week 4, while it may be solid'ish structure, it'll still fragile. Therefore sore in certain movements. Hopefully end of week 8 or 12 I can do what I've always done with it.
hi there glade to find such a good channel Ime 35 years male with tibial bone fracture due to high velocity injury (car hitting accident) now i'm 9 weeks post-operation & wanna know is thiss time for hard callus formation or not??? and when i can step on my leg without crutches
first of all this is a really good way of explaination! but i just had a point about Osteomyetlitis, true "osteo" means bone, but "myelitis" doesnt mean bone marrow only, it means "inflammation of the bone marrow", "myelo" means bone marrow. For sure you know this but just wanted to make it clear for others! No offense :)
wow....this video rocked...i loved your explanations/drawings, made it so understandable..preparing for last nursing exam & this so helps...i'm hooked on your videos...thanks again :)
Hello bro , my clavicle bone has been fractured due to accident before one and half year . Just few days ago my doctor has done my surgery and put the plate in my coller bone . My question is , is it removed in future or not ?
Hello doctor, I broke my fifth metatarsal bone 4 months ago, I am 56 years old, exercising regularly . What you think my bone is healed ready. Thank you.
My Professor told us that cartilage has no nerves or blood. I asked then why do piercings, through cartilage, hurt. Her response was the skin. I dont believe it because the upper ear piercing that has the bar going through the top of ones ear HURTS WAY TO MUCH to just be skin.
Optimistic Sir, Love and respect from Pakistan . Dr sahab ; My 8 years son tibia bone break/fracture . Now the arthupadaic dr process that he only do the plaster around the break bone of tibia . He told me that for 15 days it will be in that plaster only and after that i will check in x _ ray if it joint well then a i will apply the tight full plaster . So just want to know is the process is for healing is good enough ?

Peritoneum is the inner membranous tissue that covers the abdominal wall/organs, and not the cavity :)

Coral Cal Flow capsules have helped me recover faster from bone fractures and injuries. I feel like my body is better equipped to heal itself.
Kindly add different types of Osteomyelitis like suppurative, non-suppurative(sclerosing), osteoradionecrosis..
Oo.. Thankyou.. Superb explanation!
It was really helpful and nice summery
Extremely helpful
Extremely helpful. Thank you!
Great video, but I assume you meant vitamine D shortage instead of A?
It does, Can you clarify what you meant by Vit A, you meant D right (or Ca++)?
Thanks man! enjoyed the artwork as well!
at 7.15 its suppose to be "periosteum",, not "peritonium". Peritonium is in the abdominal cavity!
this is from 2012 also it is much more better than my prof in 2022
Hello bro , my clavicle bone has been fractured due to accident before one and half year . Just few days ago my doctor has done my surgery and put the plate in my coller bone . My question is , is it removed in future or not ?
