I know when it comes to reaction videos, different styles of reactions and analysis from the host(s) appeal to different people. Out of the many reactions I have seen to Gone, you are the only reactor who pays full attention to the lyrics and video . Further to this, you explain what the lyrics are expressing and how this is reflected in the video. For me, it is really annoying when the majority of reactions to Rose's Gone video, miss most of the messages in the video and lyrics and the reactor bleats that they can't look at the video and read the lyrics. You prove how easy this is to do by using the pause button. There seems to be many viewers who are happy to watch people do nothing more than head nod, shout out out the odd vowel sound and finish by demanding people like and subscribe. Again, I repeat all the above is my view but if every reaction video had the quality, thought and explanations that you have provided in this reaction, all would be worth watching. A+ from me.

I absolutely agree. What's the point of reacting if you don't have any reactions or thoughts to share. Love DGs reactions precisely because they're so insightful and he often notices things that I missed even though I've seen most of these videos many times before he does. It adds much value to my music listening experience. Thanks DG!
I'm not a fan of sad break-up songs, but this was beautifully performed and the video was very well done. I liked the message of "On The Ground" more, but this song struck me as being much more Rose', if that makes sense. It just seems like this is more in her personal wheelhouse and where she's most comfortable as an artist. The more we see of BP as a whole, the more impressive they are.
Rosé is such a good singer. You can feel the emotions while she is singing! Her voice is really beautiful, very calming and stress relief! She is very inspiring too, I love listening to her while she is interviewed. She says beautiful and accurate stuff! Her MV, solo both on the ground and Gone are so beautiful and meaningful. Her covers in the sea of hope and in her old live are wonderful as well. I really respect rosé, as an artist, as a member of blackpink and as a person. She wrote and participated in every process of creating and producing he solo and even the album. She chose the pictures she wanted, the aesthetic and stayed all night long without sleeping, working on it. She really puts her heart into this project and music in general. She is the passionate of the group.

ROSÉ🌹 is not an idol, she is an artist, that is why she is the only member of the group to write and compose her own songs as a solo artist, for that and much more she is my Bias in BLACKPINK and my favorite singer in general.
There's a lot to unpack here which is why the video is nearly 20 mintes, so there's a TON of talking & pausing :)

I loved Rosé‘s solo most out of the three we had so far! (Maybe I’m biased tho cause well she’s my bias lol) also I never really got why people thought 'Gone' was boring, I thought it fit Rosé‘s vibe better than 'On the ground‘. I do love 'on the ground' but I always thought Rosie was more the ballade type. That’s also shown in the Netflix Documentary where she starts composing her own song and it’s a slow almost yearning sounding ballade, these kind of songs fit her so well.
Edit: just wanted to say you don’t have to feel like you need to apologise for pausing so much! We’re watching your videos to get your opinion, so pausing is actually requested lol

One thing you may have missed... the bath tub is the same tub she was in for Lovesick Girls. You can see it still has the black paint on it.
Yeah I realized it when I was editing the video, unfortunately I wish I was Ash but I can't catch them all haha, but I do feel bad about it because I literally mention Lovesick Girls in this video 😭

The fact she wrote this song 3/2 YEARS AGO and just in 2021 their company realesed her song 🤦♂️, some rummors of her solo were spread in 2017/2018 2/3 years later she finally had her solo after Jennie, btw
If I tell u the lyrics are real, she said in a interview her song is like a letter to someone or something like this?(of course she didnt reveal who is this person BUT probably he is crying now in the bathroom seeing what he lose lol) but honestly IDK coz I commented this in another channel and someone replied me saying this isnt true but I remember seeing her saying this in somewhere, now idk if its true or not, maybe I dreamed
this song breaks everyone, her song is so sad but she was so happy during her solo era in March and April last year XD

Or sometimes kinda nasal high voice, but in her solo she sang more in a "normal" voice and deep tones, i love her lower vocals in this one, btw that bathtub is the same from Lovesick Girls MV
This MV actually has a whole history, when she is happy and smiling she is with the guy but when she is broken its when he broke her heart, .... bro her voice sounds so AAH i cant, sounds like she is singing with her throat idk how to explain U feel the emotion in her voice, if u wanna see more of her amazing vocals skills (coz she is the main vocalist of BP but she ends up singing less, she is one of the best voacalist of whole kpop and Im not even kidding but this cant be showcase in their songs) u should react to her covers on Sea of Hope

I totally agree with Glynthepin. You have had the best reaction to this video by far. I watch seven or eight k-pop reaction channels and you are the only one I've found that really seems to get what's going on in the video. I am so glad that you picked up on the nuances of what's happening in the background with the lights. You are the first person to notice the piece of tape with love on it covering up the bullet hole. I'm also glad that you picked up on the fact that she's watching a film of her memories of things that she did with the one that she loved.
I've said this on a few of the reaction channels that I watch. You should NEVER have to apologize for pausing and talking. We are here to watch a REACTION channel. We want to see your reactions to the video and the lyrics. We want you to pause and tell us what you think. That is the whole point. Keep on doing what your doing and ignore the people on here complaining about how you run your channel.
This song was supposed to be her single. They kept delaying it and finally ended up choosing on the ground to be her single. This turned into the b side.
This song it's a masterpiece (also the MV). HUGE PERIOD. At the same time I really feel the songs even more by watching the MV, her acting it's exactly what happens when your heart is really broken in pieces, you're not only hating and screaming, you're also numb and stop feeling because it's the only way for you to not feel the emptiness in your heart, the face at last always makes me emotional because I was numbed like that, not because of a heartbroken relationship but because I decided, after so many changes since I was 2 years old, to stop feeling and I really couldn't feel any emotions... and it's painful too to imagine that Rosé felt this way some time in her life because she's written it by herself, to be able to write it like this, with this deepness, is just because of experience

The backstory relating to the emotional value in the lyrics is that Wendy had a serious accident at end of 2019 and had almost 1.5 yrs of hiatus and then returned with solo debut in 2021. So, she wanted to assure us, the Reveluvs, who waited for her recovery by comforting and healing us thru this gorgeous song ! I hope you give it a try and see it for yourself :)

Vi una entrevista de Rosé respecto a ésta canción "Gone" y explicaba que es "una carta escrita a ella misma" y lo que ha perdido o dejado de hacer al convertirse en artista y una figura pública, es decir, "Gone" y "On the ground" estan muy relacionadas ya que ambas reflejan sus reflexiones respecto a su vida y las conclusiones a las que ha llegado.

My take on the brief scene of the "Love" tape peeling away a bullet hole: the action of this ex-lover, dumping her, was probably not a total surprised. She probably had sensed something not right about him, or relationship with him. But she was in denial, and believed that, giving "more love", she would change his heart and he would not leave her. Unfortunately, "more love" is just like that flimpsy paper tape used to fix something horribly wrong. Anyway, I don't think my take is better than yours. Just want to share another view on the same thing.
Great Reaction DG Reacts! You pretty much caught everything except for the final bathtub scene with the black paint which is a continuation of Lovesick Girls and the guy that broke her heart is Loren (But not really) and she is also the one that painted all the graffiti on the car that Jennie crashes at the start of 'Lovesick Girl'! Then what's left she throws on the wall! And in 'Crazy Over You' on Jennie's last verse you can hear when she crashes the car! Of coarse that just my fun way of tying those three songs together! And pause all you want cause I always catch a lot of stuff that I usually miss! Like on Lalisa the ATV scene on the side it has number 97 her birth year and the M/V is 3:27 long her birthday!🙏
Every time i hear this song I cant help think about next year when their contracts with YG expire. Will the girls start releasing songs that aren't as commercial? We know that they're always in the studio but it seems YG being a listed company seems to knock back a lot of music due to perceived risk. We can only hope that their upcoming album wont be their last.
