It sounds like Amanda got the short end of the stick when she said that Alexis didn't claim her as her daughter for 25 years. Ouch.
It did look like Fallon and Amada mom was trying to show her daughters that she loves them and cares about them. She was just doing it in a really different kind of way is all.
Yes. Alexis does love her children, but Fallon and Amanda have been hurt and betrayed by her so many times that they're wary of her.

Well, it's never too late to become a real mom. I guess, in her own way, she was just always trying to do what she thought was best. Alexis wasn't the greatest mother, but... she mothered.
