I am a 56yr old woman who first saw Miyu last year on youtube dancing with kids Japan to the with me happy I'am sorry song. I've never seen anything like it before. I must have watched that same clip of Miyu and her group dancing 50 times or more. Wonderful. Since then, I've watched many more. I wish we had something like this when I was a young girl, I'd have loved to try learn. Miyu is an inspiration to young women worldwide, a true role model. Lovely. I wish her only a lifetime of happiness and success.

Out of all the things I’ve always dreamed of doing in space, dancing is 100% at the top of all that. It must/will be so weird, but also totally liberating. She is going to live the dream, even if it is this time for starters in a capsule. Many congratulations to you.
Even as a backup, you will be able to get the experience of training for space what the process is all about. That in itself is like worth millions of dollars of free training. Just think what your resume will look like? Also, if the first trip is successful, they will probably go for another one and ask the backups who already have the training to be part of the next space trips.

Maybe especially for these artists, who ulike most astronauts have not spent years/decades working towards getting to space. They say yes now, but as time goes on, some of those will likely turn to "no"s, as people move on with their lives.
