FYI, In Ultraman there are three concepts of how humans can become Ultraman : - *Human Host* , Simply put, humans are used as vessels for Ultraman himself and establish a relationship like a symbiotic mutualism. In some series, the human host concept has a certain duration, Either because the human body can no longer survive being a container or Ultraman himself can no longer survive in the human container. - *Human Form* , Simply put, this is an Ultraman who has human form, can act as camouflage and blend in with humans as well as a final form of defense against the condition of Ultraman's body when they are seriously injured. - *Dunamist* , This concept is only found in the Ultraman Nexus series (The Next, Nexus, and Noa). Dunamists are humans chosen by "The light" and they themselves are Ultraman (Ultraman's body and power are their own body and power). And when a Dunamist dies or in some cases "loses the light", the Light will again look for someone worthy to be a Dunamist. So you could say this is a combined concept of human host and human form, but all human hosts and human forms outside the Ultraman Nexus series cannot be called Dunamist. If there is an error in my statement above, please correct it.
Well i would add that there is a fourth type that kinda blend the Dunamist and the Ultra Host, and it specifically apply to Tiga, Gaia and Agul, as all three are hosts to their respective powers, but at the same time, it's confirmed that they physically turn into the Ultra (and it's even blurier with Tiga and Daigo, as the Tiga movie confirmed that Daigo is actually Tiga's Reincarnation)
