would you suggest the same yellow (525nm) LEDs for the smoked Glass?
Or do i get a better orange flash with the orange (600nm) LEDs?
Try the most bright that you can get. If they are to much bright you can do heavier resistors to make the light less bright. Check also the Voltage from the turnsignals when the car engine is " ON", maybe you need a LED relay for get more Voltage to the turnsignals

what is the concept of connecting the resistor. I hope that makes you understand what I'm asking.
+Johnny G without resistor the led will be piece, than the led get to much voltage
I'm talking about the thing you connect to the led it looks light brown with red and blue lines on or. what is That for and do yiu Nees it
+Johnny G Hi, sorry to step into the discussion. Those are resistors and you need them to limit the current and lower the voltage on the LEDs. Without them the LEDs will burn out really quick.
+Johnny G .......yep man, resistors.
Without'em......puff ! your LEDs are burned in 2 seconds flat if you put 12V to them.
So.......put a resistor in there and apply 12V and "voila", the LED works.
I put a 560 ohm resistor for a single LED, either in the + or - leg, doesn't mattter.
But I guess if you put two or three LEDs in series (+ to - and so on),
a 330 ohm in the start or end of the string will do the trick.
I'm no expert so correct me if I'm wrong.

why do you put the resistors on for do you need them on with the led bulbs

Johnny G He puts resistors on the LEDs to reduce the amount of current going through them. Without resistors, the LEDs would burn out very quickly.
How did you figure out what size resistors to use?
