EXO lightstick is the first one in the world Bluetooth controlled, it's breathtaking to see it in concerts, for me, it was like a stroke, I stood there like the Liberty Statue, with the lightstick blinking in my hand and felt tears rolling on my cheeks, I will never forget that moment!!
Fun fact: You know why the background shattered like glass during "The Eve" live performance, right when they focused on D.O.? As a member of EXO, D.O.'s superpower is the ability to use the elements of earth (dirt) which give him strength/force. So what you saw was, as D.O. raised his hands above his head, he used his superpower to break the background. And during the rap section in "Forever," if you notice, the background becomes swirling flames to represent Chanyeol and Sehun's combined powers of fire and wind. As you can see, everything EXO does has something to do with their origin story and their powers, even live performances. You will see in future performances other examples of the members using their powers as well. For example, when it rains on stage, you will see them focus on Suho because he has the power to control water, and when they sing about "Thunder" you will see them focus on Chen because he controls Thunder/lightning/electricity. Baekhyun has the power to control light, so you will often see him turn the lights off or on when he is one stage, and when they sing about snow or winter you will see Xiumin because he controls snow/ice/frost, etc.

That's D.O. using his strength. D.O. had a shaved head back then because he was in the middle of playing a soldier in a movie. D.O. also had another movie at the time where he played a North Korean POW. The EXO light stick is called a Pharynx but most fans called it an "Aeribong". You noticed how the lights changed colors, right? Aeribongs can change into 12 different colors. It even has a pulsating mode. They connect via Bluetooth (you have to register and download an app for the Aeribong) so at concerts, the lighting coordinators/stage directors can change the colors on everyone's light sticks at will. They can change different sections of the crowds to different colors too. All EXO members technically have a different color representing them so if a member is performing a solo act, the light sticks will usually be changed to that member's color. EXO was the first group to incorporate Bluetooth technology for their light sticks. You may want to check out one of the two EXO subunits, EXO-SC. The SC stands for Sehun and Chanyeol, the two main rappers. Their music is really different from EXO. It's more chill and light-hearted. For live performance from concerts, it's best to react to the Seoul ones. Japan ones almost always get blocked. The one you're watching is concert in Seoul.
