  • Solo hike to explore the Druids caves hidden in the Peak District.
Three centuries ago, a local parson called Thomas Erye crafted, carved, and created caves, rooms, thrones, and stairways and decorated them all with cup, ring, and serpent markings. Eyre was not only a man of the cloth who used to sit on one of his many seats and write sermons for the villagers. He also had a dark secret. Thomas Eyre was a Druid. He would meet regularly at The Druids Inn with the rest of the Ancient Order of Druids members. He would also invite this fellowship to his caves and rooms on the hilltop to entertain and perform rituals.
A free site hidden in the ancient woodland on a hilltop above a sleepy Derbyshire village, definitely worth a visit.

@@AdventuresWithLilu The Nine Ladies has been one of my favourite places for nearly 40 years. About the same length of time that the farmer has been telling me off for camping at the Stride.🤣 Happy travels.

Love the history of the lands,Are there any Dolmens in England I wonder? In Ireland superstition has it fairy’s lived in them and in India Hindus believe Nagars a serpent like fairy god lived in them? I find it fascinating either way lol Anyway I’m subscribing to your channel and good luck with your future adventures 👍 I’m in for the journeys 😃

I hope you don't mind but happy algorithm means I am binge watching you at the moment. "Do we go in"? Of course we do, we're homo sapiens. Our curse and our deliverance. I am having so much fun watching your videos. I have put you on my list of hobbits most likekly to carry a ring to Mordor. I would sign that Gandalf but I shaved for the first time in a fortnight this morning. A wizard without a beard is either an apprentice or a charlatan.
I hope you equally don't mind but I have suggested your site to my friend Peter and his wife as one they should follow. " She has a drone you know". They are avid hikers but content themselves mostly with the Downs. And why not. With best wishes. Thank you.

I myself am an off piste early 20th century Protestant, German, philosopher or theologian. To be honest if you could walk half a mile and advertise crisps, they'd give you a doctorate in my day. I have no doubt this will come in useful. I enjoy what you do. Thank you. I am walking with a canny lass on hills I have rarely seen. There are worse things. And stranger hills.
