Elims, unlike Kills, refers to both kills and assists in a single term. Generally better practice to use that, as it leaves open the mentality of accepting assists and not stealing kills. Aside from that, Elims are what increase killstreaks- not just kills. Both are important! EDIT: Apparently, only Medic gets credit on assists. I'm a medic main, so I hadn't even noticed it wasn't the case for everyone.
