I was mistaken, the 8th gen civic also has electronic steering. Thank you for correcting me everyone!

I have owned my 8th gen si for 8 years now. I have changed and replace everything . And it is still alive and well. One of the best Honda platforms to work on and learn about

Please get a loud intake for it! the induction sounds it make are exotic lmao and then hondata flashpro to fix that rev hang and there is so much customizable things and tuning potential.

That’s on the list! The induction noise on this thing is bonkers

I got an 08 coupe , bought in 09 with 7K on it. HFP suspension, exhaust, sway bars . Still going strong at 285K miles, needs AC though. wish i had your color. BTW the steering is electric on the Si and rack and pinion on the regular. Its not my main car anymore , but I still like driving it.

I use to own a 09 civic si coupe hfp for 2 years but sadly I sold it since it had too much mileage and needed some work done to it but I'll definitely get one back for sure I don't care if i have to pay more for one that is low mileage and clean

222k really isn’t crazy for these cars. Oil changes every 3k miles and these will easily hit 300k+

I will say that once you swap out that dated radio center for an actual end center, you’ll have wireless Apple CarPlay and it is so convenient compared to the tenth gen’s service issues w/ corded Apple CarPlay 🤝

i bought an 8th gen with a stick after totaling my 600hp fully modded bmw 335i with paddle shifters. after 6 months i get it. i find myself looking for an excuse to take the si to 7/11 4 blocks away just to row threw the gears. the way it almost clicks into each gear, i use/used both as a daily and sure flooring it (to felony speeds) with 600hp is fun and the beemer got attention from girls and car guys. but im married. and girls look the other way in my chipped paint civic lol...but i genuinely enjoy the si more every day i drive it. i also graduated hs in 2006 so i was 16 when the first fast and furious came out and it always reminded me of the poor mans evo from 2 fast. ok.. im goin to 7 11 for a celsius rn just to drive it. great video.

Sold my 2017 sport hatch manual for a 2009 Si sedan. Tbh the sport hatch felt faster even when I put it back to stock but I got plans for this FA5 so I don’t blame it one bit. And ohh I also love the way the FA5 looks so there’s that

Well…I have an 11th gen si. It has a turbo and V-Tec. It’s pretty bananas with ktuner tsp stage 1.
It’s my daily and I love everything about it! I don’t need fog lamps and heated seats. It drives it self practically. It’s badass. IMO 🤙🏼

Wow, I thought it was a great review comparison. So I have an 8th gen civic 2008, and this is my 2nd 8th gen. The first one was 06 coupe manual transmission and I absolutely liked it I bought it in 2006 brand new and had it for 8 years no problems at all, 0. But I sold it in 2014, and I regretted it ever since, so in 2019, I bought another civic coupe manual transmission and it was a piece of crap. But I knew what I had, so I put 1700 dollars into it for parts, and I fixed it myself for 14 and a half days myself. Now it's like brand new again, and it's so fun to drive. For the stick shift, just change the shifter components with Acuity or Hybrid racing one to make it alot more krisp. 🤔

8th generations honda si are one of the best generations of the Hondas built besides the 1999 2000 honda si. A lot of potential and soon become a classic car one day soon worth a lot of money 👍
