In 1971 I delivered fuel to that airport in Nha Trang also the base in Dalat...Traveled that road many times for the US Army...Very beautiful country even back then...
Hello Alex and Kyle. Another great, beautiful video. I agree with someone's post here, that "your Vietnamese is very charming" The man you met speaks well English. During the war, all Vietnamese' pilots, airforce officers were sent to the US for training, to learn English and airforce's training, to learn how to fly air fighter airplanes, such as the B-1 bomber, etc (most to Texas' military's base). Can you imagine such a beautiful country like that bombarded by millions of bombs everywhere every day? We didn't know where to run where to hide. That's why he can speak English he probably learned from training in the US during VN wartraining. He must be a pilot in his past. Am so glad the war was over don't you? From the North to Central to the South there were over three million died (from 1954 to 1975). Very sad, isn't it? Thank you again, Kyle and Alex. Look forward to the next video:)
No doubt Vietnam is a beautiful country because it’s located in the coastal side. But, no matter how beautiful the landscape is, the Vietnamese people litter everywhere they exist; they throw garbage everywhere they go and they cannot keep things neat and organized. You know what they call that kind of people? THE THIRD WORLD SLUM. No matter how many beautiful skyscrapers they can build, the culture of lack consideration, lack of respect, and lack of organization, Vietnam can never get away from the third world slum status.
Gia'pVo, I totally agree. You can write and write and write to their leaders....and ce what's happened :) And I also agreed with DEAN Ambrose. VN was in sanctioned until 1995 and I think they catching up pretty fast. Look at kids in VN able to speak English, even they live as far as Dalat Kontum and Pleiku Province. :) and they're so welcome English speaking teachers from all over the world come to VN to teach. I just hope someday they will hire the English-speaking teacher to teach math and other science classes in Elementary school. Because younger students can learn and absorb much faster than the older student when they learn foreign language.
While you're there you guys can try go to some small islands around Nha Trang, like Bi`nh Ba, Cam Ranh Bay Island very beautiful, white sand and crystal clear water. Have fun Kyle and Alex
Really great videos guys! Makes me want to do the same trip. Thumbs up on your Vietnamese too. I'm learning myself and I appreciate the effort it takes. Very inspirational the whole thing 👍😀 please drive safe!!
This is the point on a road trip where fellow travelers start bickering - haha - you and Kyle seem to be holding it together very well! (and I guess that's what editing is for, too!) - continued safe miles
Ride safe. Glad to hear you are going to get some gear. That vietnamese man you met who spoke English, he and his wife were on a proper motorcycle right? That was nice of him to make conversation with you.
Kyle's Vietnamese is so sooooo good! Alex, you gotta keep up, buddy. :) Beef (bo) is pronounced like "boh" - short o sound, not long o. Scenery was amazing and to end with you guys looking out at the beach tops it all off.
