The tuning I used for the cover is A G D C# C B A# (from the highest pitched string to the last), but the original should be F D# A# A G# G F#.

Hello, can anyone tell me some good beginner song book for playing the Lyre? I just purchased my first lyre & looking for book to learn how to play
which of each note is the strings? like is the G# for the 5th string higher or lower than the following G?
Great sound, do you use guitar strings or gut ones?
Actually those are ukulele strings haha! Don't judge me, I was experimenting with it 😉

Does this work on any 7 string lyre (I’m a new lyre player)
Yes, as long as it has 7 strings it should work. If you're using a lyre harp, it's possible you have to tune it one octave above the one I used in here, since that lyre is higher pitched than the kravik and the trossingen. Hope it works :)

Of course! It's 60 cm long. I'm also sharing you a picture with other measurements in case you need them 😉 (a VERY rough drawing I must say 😂 )

I would say you build it a tiny bit shorter than that though, because for my lyre to reach those notes (I wanted the higher pitched notes haha) I had to use ukulele strings (I was planing on using guitar strings instead but didn't work) and had to put the bridge higher (the longer the distance between the pegs and the bridge the lower the notes, and also the taller the bridge the higher the pitch). Hope it helps 😊
