By far the best Telford 2019 video I have seen. For me, scale modelling is just as much about the people as the models. This is the only video I've seen where real people are allowed to talk. Brilliant.
@@quickkits I really did. I'd like to get into videoing model shows too, if I ever get the time. But your videos show to me the best approach. Just videoing the models on display with no context is pointless.
the tip with the black & white picture of the vehicle is so simple when you think about it, yet so great. defenitely going to try that on my next build
I watched your video on the Role Models first, then followed on to this one. I built models off and on all my life and am thinking of doing it again. What caught my ear was the kids saying they go in to scale models through their Dads. One of my sons got the bug for a while after watching me spend hours hand painting an air crew for a model I was building. Thanks for this, it brought back a great memory.
I'm new to modelling and finding your channel great. I did see you at show in between you shooting video but was little shy about coming speaking to you
Really enjoyed this. I wanted to ask if you have ever thought of interviewing other youtubers while you’re there? That would be so cool to watch. Keep the good work and thanks for sharing this.
I hope that you are doing a journalism degree. You are an asset to the hobby, and producers of kit sets should take note. I thoroughly enjoyed the way you humanized this event.
I really like the M3 Grant at 3.41 figures are really nice ! I wonder if Telford will happen anymore with Brexit! We're having alot of problems with suppliers pulling out for business here in Scotland just now at the model shop we are having an ipms show start back up this October it's our first since COVID-19 so really looking forward to it!
I really enjoyed the Airfix Hawker Typhoon Starter Set, the Revell Star Wars X-Wing, and the Airfix Cromwell Starter Set. Depends what you're interested in :)
Can people take models just to display or do they have to be entered in a contest? I have no desire to compete, but would be interested in just "showing off" some of the models I've done.
To display your models at Scale Model World you have to be part of an IPMS group, at most model shows you have to be part of a group to display. See if there are any modelling groups near you :)
Great video, some of the "professionals " should take notice of your production ideas and techniques. One complaint, I wasnt on it 🤔 Just joshing, very well done... Martin.
I had to laugh at myself a bit when the 10-11 year old kits bring out kits that make mine look daft... Glad more youngsters are taking it up though really, and I think Quick Kits is part of the inspiration for that
It was interesting that John said there was not much interest in figure painting. I think that's because they are mainly in war gaming. Which seem to have its own comunity and is a great place for tips etc on figure painting. Great vid have just sub.
I would like to start a model exchange program. We all have extra models we'd probably like to trade. An honest system of trade of models, decals, extras of fairly equal value. Or just a model one guy really wants for another. Just make sure we stay honest.
Paint job on the rally minis very poor and he's a pro! That's why I'm happy I made the move to the Armour it's just so much more to the Armour side it's fantastic!
I’m Jesse and I’m so happy to be in this video :) thanks

A pleasure to have the modelers interviewed, thanks
One of the better Telford review videos. You interviewed some interesting modellers.
Thank you Stephen!
A very polished video. Well done👍
12:10 I cant believe you met a fellow modeler from the instagram model community! Excellent video Owen!
I learned so much on this shoot! (And even more after watching the video and actually being able to hear).
I couldn't have done it without you - thank you for your excellent camerawork :)

Excellent shows, and very good interviews with the old and new modelers, thanks for sharing the video.
I'm pleased you enjoyed it!!

One of the things I like about the scale modeling community is everyone is super nice and always willing to help.
Thank you Owen, really enjoyed seeing that. So good to see youngsters taking an interest too. Take care as always from South Africa

I was there! I brought this little wildcat I made, so awesome!
Great video, brilliant with the interviews a d voice over. Great work
Thank you!
Thanks for this. I really like the way you do briefs interviews with the in-depth talks released separately. A great way to watch.
You're welcome, I'm very pleased you enjoyed the style and format as well as the content! :)
It's nice to see someone making the effort to document what a great show Telford is. It gets no coverage in the media. Great video.
Thank you Matt!
@@quickkits I saw you at the show and was going to say hello too 🤣
Ah dang! Well, maybe next year? :)
i wish i can attend this awesome event! I'm one of those 1/700 ship builders really cool to see their interviews

If not the largest, but surely one of the best
Smashing video Owen. Saw you and Poppy on Saturday but you were both far too busy filming for me to say hello!
Ahh yeah we were having a very busy day, sorry I didn't get the chance to chat to you! Maybe next time? :)

Okay, Owen, you convinced me. Next year I might take a trip overseas to Telford.
Oooo exciting!!!
Congratulations. Good models. 🇨🇱🇨🇱
Hello wondering where you recommend purchasing models online? And which brands would you recommend for beginners?
Love all your videos 😀😀😀
Thank you ❤️
I think dioramas are an art form above and beyond scale modeling. Creates at bit of a 3-D snapshot photograph effect to the subject.
Wow. Those kids modelling skills are amazing.
Fantastic video Owen!
Thank you!
I have 2 model tanks that I would really like to display at ipms
but I live in Australia and there arent any model shows I know of in the city I'm in

Can’t wait to see the hurricane video haha
So much too see!
whats that aircraft at 0:34 with the far forward cockpit and contra rotating propellers
That's a really good question haha! Looks like some kind of modified DeHavilland Mosquito?
I think it’s a scratch built “ what-if “ model...
Looks like a Wyvern mated an RAF mustang or late Spitfire?
Hi Owen! Very nice video again! Could I share it?
Of course, feely free to share the link or embed it anywhere! :)
