    I've been there 2019 during our Ng reunion. We stayed on different cottages and the hotel like building. We did zipline. The place looks so much better, lots of updates. There was only 1 pool during that time, now 3 .❤.The only thing they don't serve decaffeinated coffee. I asked the girl if they have decaffeinated coffee and she replied we have brewed coffee ma'am.😊

Whatta great rustic rendition of St Michael The Archangel. I know it is Michael becoz there are traditional depictions & the raised sword stance & standing on the devil ( or sometimes instead a large snake or dragon) is the classic depiction. St Michael fights & defends against evil, so it can make sense coz stress can be a little to a very big evil. So this stress relieving place fits right with St Michael, yup. 🗡️🪽💙

    This kind of resort is what is wrong with the PI. Really, people working 10 hours a day for $5.00 ,the workers in the resort working for even less, only a few families own everything, no exceptions, in a country with some of the poorest families on the planet. I doubt they will be in this resort. And that is what the government wants, no exceptions. The country’s law are set up to maintain poverty. Every country, no exceptions with Spanish colonialism are the same. Slums of Mexica, slums of PI, slums of Central America are identical. The poorest of thee poor being abused by the ruling class. No wonder these governments are all on the take from CCP.

    • @julestoops16
      @julestoops16 Год назад +3

      What’s wrong with this statement is that you’re making judgments from a westerner’s viewpoint. Businesses like these provide jobs for locals who can’t or don’t want to leave home and even if it may only pay $5USD a day it is a whole lot better than $0USD. Small town Filipinos are resourceful. They either grow more than half of their daily food in their yard or catch fish or raise poultry and other animals for their protein consumption which is way less than most westerners eat. Happiness and contentment in our culture is not primarily determined by material possessions or gluttony but by close family ties and friendships and ultimately community. You may see third world countries as materially poor, but they are richer in everything else. Why do you think many escape the first world rat race and the social and moral decay that go with it and move to countries like the Philippines and vlog about the happiness they have found?

    • @mikehotdice8699
      @mikehotdice8699 Год назад

      @@julestoops16 I doubt 1% of the population of the PI can afford this so called resort. You know how the wealthy take advantage of it own people and its condoned and I doubt they work their to stay close to home. When 1 night at the resort can pay for the entire work force, that seems to me that the employees are underpaid. 6 days a week, 12 hours a day, 6000 pesos a month, that a little over $100.00 USDollars. That’s wages that are below slum work. Surely you don’t condone this.

      Im not disagreeing with you; I don’t wish to elevate one over the other because both nations are INCREDIBLE. But from my perspective which I’ll admit does not include actually living in either place, just visiting. This location & others in Philippines to me are more strikingly “untouched” , like a wider vista, & more extensive foliage. Like they said ongoing LUSHness. But I sure haven’t been everywhere in either country. Another difference I mentioned already in the comments: the statue outside the spa is of St. Michael the Archangel. A holy figure or saint in Catholic & I believe Orthodox & maybe even mentioned in Islam. Not certain on that though! Usually in Bali there would be more Eastern Religions’ figures. Also in the West it seems spas in particular display Buddhas, often just as decor/aesthetic & not due to any religious allegiance. So it does tickle me as a person who appreciates resorts, spas & St Michael, to view such a statue. Great selling point for me when deciding where to visit.
