🛠Tools needed, 5/8th, 7/16th, 1/2 and a synco meter! I did this as my car kept slowly dieing at junctions and when left unattended! Hope this helps :)

⏰before you tune your SU Carburettors please ensure your Ignition Timing is set correctly

Have the same spitfire, adjusting idle to 750. Also when on the road sounds as the motor runs out of gas and then picks up, after slight hesitation, but your vid just settled that issue, I think. What about timing ? Use of a timing light, do you have video on that issue?
The Triumph Guy well, we got that done, timing light etc. found the marks on the crankshaft pulley. And reset the timing, runs better, but need more work on carbs. Need to adjust them more to gain that sound. Nice even tone, without any hiccups when I hit the accelerator, I noticed if I am easy on the accelerator then less of the sound like it is starving for gas. Going to check float levels next. If it is not that, then back to adjusting the jets, hmmm.

Hello, did you have the idle at 1,000 RPM while tuning, but then lowered to 750 RPM when finished? Is that part of the process for tuning? I'm getting ready to install twin SU4 carbs on my 75 Spitfire. Cheers

@@TheTriumphGuy101 my work is not perfect . The level pollution is always high.The nut of left carburator is totaly closed and the sparks plug (3 and 4) are always black. where is the problem for you ? i want to try again but perharps i must change a part ? a complet cleaning of carburator ?
@@TheTriumphGuy101 Hello, no problem for the delay of response. westerday, I do the job and the technical control of pollution is good now. the four spark plug are brown so the engine is running correctly. thank's again for your informations.
You need to loosen the throttle linkage between the carbs so they work independently, prior to making the adjustments. May see you around if you’re Dorset way :)
