Hi thanks for the video it's super informative! I'd be interested in the car checks document, did you end up posting it online somewhere?
@@XoXHannah41XoX hey hey! No I didn’t in the end! Thank you for reminding me, I will make that video soon :D
Not driving it enough
@@nevo6400 yeah! Well my mother drives it every day but it’s not been driven far enough
Yeah needs longer driving each day... Had the exact problem with my mini cooper....
@ yeah it’s not ideal, I’m going to do an oil change / filter (it’s due soon anyways) and then tell my mum she must drive it further haha
Please more videos with the G
I wish! I’ve sold it today unfortunately:(
Condensation, normal on those cars.
Yeah exactly :)
The other side is literally impossible. Terrible design
@@Alex-bf7mc yeah it’s an awful design! I removed the whole headlight - video here: Point to note - some of these have 3 bolts to remove, mine only had two. Peugeot 208 Headlight Assembly Removal | Step-by-Step Guide ruclips.net/video/eT7vu3qORjM/видео.html
The Peugeot 208 (2014 model typically has three bolts securing each headlight. Two of these bolts are located in the engine compartment near the headlight, and the third bolt is found behind the front bumper
Yeah like I said in the other comment. I didn’t remove 3 bolts. Maybe this is for LED headlights only :)
He cut the video as he unscrew the 3rd bolt which is behind the bumper. Why you are not telling the full truth? I just opened my Peugeot 208 2014 headlights by seeing your video. When the headlights is not coming off i call my friend who is Peugeot mechanic he said there is a 3rd bolt behind the front bumper. And as i remove the 3rd bolt now my headlight is free to remove.
Ahh, I never removed a third bolt. Maybe it’s because yours are LED? I flimed everything I have done.
Absolutely 💯 Keep it real

The other side is much more difficult…did you not have a spring on it to hold in the bulb ? Mine did and it’s almost impossible to get the spring on again…I lost the original one in the engine bay and had to buy a pack of them from Halfords 😂
Hey hey! Check this video out on how to remove headlight cluster :) I removed it to do the other side ;D Peugeot 208 Headlight Assembly Removal | Step-by-Step Guide ruclips.net/video/eT7vu3qORjM/видео.html
I tried this, it didnt work. Is there another way to reset?
It should work :) have you got the ability to plug it in? :)
I know the video is old but my experience might help someone save a lot of money, I was experiencing only sometimes when I really had to brake that the pedal suddenly turns hard and it won’t brake, I changed the brake booster, master cylinder, vacuum pump (tandem pump), the hoses, the brakes, the fluid, the callipers and discs, basically the entire sistem with still not solving the issue, it turns out there there is a rubber connector that due to old age when vacuum is created it sucks itself and blocks the vacuum, a piece that costs 3€ and its located where the hose goes from the engine place towards the interior of the car, just follow the vaccum line and you will find it
@@andreeabianca5459 that is really helpful advice! Thank you so much! This may save other viewers a small fortune!
When my VW is fully warmed up sitting idle the heat sucks barley warm but when I start driving I can actually feel hot air … any ideas what’s causing this ?
Hey hey! Great question! Is it 100% reading at 90 degrees at idle? These cars are well known for taking a while to heat up. Out of all cars I have owned (I’ve owned quite a lot) these heat up the slowest, even after a new heater core
My heater blows cold air, temperature is good no leaks , took out the heater core and there’s no blockage put it back but one of the pipe is cold and the other one is hit m not sure what could be the problem now
Hey, out of interest how did you test for no blockages in the heater core? If one pipe is hot and one is cold then it will defiantly be a blocked heater core. Mine was £40 and I replaced it myself :) these heater cores are prone to blocking in VWs due to the Silcone balls they put in the expansion tank
Super helpful video, going to view a car tomorrow after previously buying a lemon that I had to scrap after just 1 year, will def be doing a better inspection this time and have done extensive online pre viewing checks.

Or, message my FB “The Triumph Guy” if you have any questions and want to send pics / videos of cars you want to buy. I am always here to help people
My heat comes up sometimes now, depending on weather but I do believe there’s something making it stay cold random times
If it’s completely random, have you looked at the lever I show in the video? Maybe it could be an electrical fault with that lever. If I can help in any other way let me know
Same issue with my touran but them 2 pipes inside the cabin don’t seem to get hot? Changed thermostat and flushed all the coolant out including rad I’ve also taken them pipes off engine bay side for the matrix/core and jet washed that out still no luck ?
@JackWillers-q5o hey hey!! Both pipes don’t get hot? Confirm that the car is at operating temperature (90 degrees)
@ yeah gets up to temperature and sits there happily
@JackWillers-q5o ok, can you message me on Facebook? “The Triumph Guy” Il take a pic of my car and show you what to do next.
I’m getting codes saying heater unit locked ? No flame? Fuel gage lower limit not reached? Low voltage cut-out(automatic)? Glow plug flame monitoring implausible signal ? Not sure if any are related but it comes up heating auxiliary’s and they are the cards that show. Thank you so much for you’re reply’s im at a lost end with it

Typical misleading RUclips video. There are 3 bolts.........
@@stevesjobsUK I didn’t remove 3 bolts.
I’ve just looked through the video, and the process is correct. Two bolts on the headlight it’s self. 2 torques screws to access the bolt closer to the Center. I don’t know if you’ve skipped certain parts of the videos This video is to help people, I would appreciate it if you didn’t tar me with the “typical misleading RUclips video” as this isn’t the case.
@TheTriumphGuy101 but you've now had 2 people tell you their headlights have 3 bolts, one is hidden by the bumper. Perhaps you are wrong. From an engineering perspective only 2 bolts would be a poor design.
@ I would definitely know if I removed 3 bolts. Unless the headlights with LED are different. Mine are the basic headlights.
i wd subscribe but frankly the camera work is terrible, not even keeping the object in view.. would have been nice to see.. how you cleaned it, how you placed the condenser and the tightening and untightening of screws
@@jeffreybernard4089 hey hey! Thanks for your kind comment, I have improved massively on my camera work since this video. I took ALOT of critique on this video and my earlier ones too. I know have a tri pod and another stand for bonnet work. Again, thank you so much for not being nasty about it like other do. Have a great evening and a happy new year
ok.. had i seen the comments i probably wouldnt have added to the negativity. so yea next time please explain how you cleaned it and where you put what kind of oil. i am doing this today. i changed the cap and the rotor.. all worked fine but i got some shuddering on acceleration, so im sure i need the points replaced also. had my 73 about 1 year and never got to the ignition before. fascinating! wish me luck.
@@jeffreybernard4089 good luck! I’ve not switched to an electric ignition. To be honest when I need to change friends points I will re make this video:) Thank you again for taking your time to give me feedback though! I genuinely appreciate it :D
yesterday i changed the rotor and cap but the points i got from rimmer were not the right ones. so i removed the old one and on inspection the ground side had like a mini hill on it and the pos side had a big hole. so not having new ones, i took a dremel grinding stone to it and got both sides as flat as possible. then i reinstalled. in the process i used carburetor cleaner and a q tip to clean the plate and other yucky areas. a bit of 3 in 1 in the felt under the rotor and a bit in each hole. i pulled on the vacuum advance to make sure it moved freely. then i put the car in 4th gear and moved it forward till the bump on the rotor post was highest. using a .015 in gauge it was just a bit tight so i loosened the screw a bit and got it to open a hair more. tightened it… checked with gauge again and i put it all back together. car started incredibly fast. took it out for a drive: best its ever driven.
@ nice one! Happy for you :D I love driving my car once it’s all been tuned up perfectly! I was extremely lucky to buy this car when it was tuned perfectly so I now know what it should be like :D I had a dodgy dizzie which I’d have to do timing on a lot. I learnt to do it by ear eventually, anyways, fast forward a bit I now have electronic ignition and a rebuilt dizzie :D I now only check timing once a year and rarely need to a adjust!
i wd subscribe but frankly the camera work is terrible, not even keeping the object in view.. would have been nice to see.. how you cleaned it, how you placed the condenser and the tightening and untightening of screws
Hello, how did you do it without removing the bumper?
Thanks for the comment, you don’t need to remove the bumper :) Watch the video all the way through and it shows you. Any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch
@@TheTriumphGuy101 Thank you very much, I will try it as soon as possible, the LED is faulty, I am thinking of checking it out.
@ ahh good luck :D
I don't think I can succeed but I will try :D
@@TheTriumphGuy101 there's 3rd bolt at the side..
Bro this was super helpful!
@@cakefactoryy genuinely I’m so happy to help!! There will be a clutch job and a timing belt change on this car soon! So make sure you stay tuned :D
This is really helpful, thanks. What size bit did you use for the bolts either side of the latch?
@@rolandkettle hey heyyy! Thank you for your comment :D I’m really sorry, but I have forgotten the size of the top of my head. I had to barrow one as it’s fairly large
I now know the answer - it’s an M8 spline bolt. Don’t try bodging it with a normal hex bit like I did the first time, you’ll burr it! Thanks again, the video was so useful for fixing it.
I had this exact issue and unfortunately the temporary fix didn't work. Ended up getting a replacement 2nd hand tandem pump off eBay, it was off a newer vehicle and the pump outlet design had been changed to prevent this loose fitting issue.
Ahhh unluckily, apparently Bosche make a replacement which is better and more reliable
Great video. Do you need to loosen off the brake master cylinder cap before winding back the caliper pistons?
Thank you so much for your kind words, Yes, sorry did I miss that in the video? I do a lot of videos sometimes I miss this step.
Very helpful video, does it make a different if it’s petrol or diesel or is the process the same.
Good morning, Thank you for your very kind comment, This was a diesel, I presume the same apply on a petrol, check to see if you have the “bleeding” hose, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, watch the video all the way through, I stress from extremely important points at the end. One being - bring the car to running temp! This is a must. Once and only once it’s at running temp do up the expansion tank and carry on “seesawing”
