I can’t wait to get this desk, I’m getting it next year some time, along with overhauling my set up. My only concern is because of the cable tray I feel like you have to have your monitor too close to your face because you can’t put it right to the back of the desk.
It's not too bad for me, but that's another reason why I went for the XL version, and Secret Lab are also apparently planning a monitor arm for larger screens.

I plan on getting this come December time, I work from home as a software engineer and play games/watch shows from my desktop so I'm constantly on it, seems expensive but worth it. Couple of things I was wondering - How secure is that PC clip? I've cats so would be worried if they were able to nudge the pc out I notuced you have a mouse pad with the desk pad - is the desk pad more just a cover than a surface for the mouse? Thanks very much. The PC mount is really solid, no chance of it coming out and you can lock it with all switch as well. I use the mouse pad as it's really smooth so my mouse glides more, but yes you can just use the desk cover if you want. 👍

Hi! Can i ask a couple of questions? - as being dark. is it dirty? Currently i have a white one and i think dust can be a problem. - how hard is the mat? Could you write on a sheet of paper on top of it? Thanks
Of course it gathers dust, but it is incredibly easy to clean, the mat is VERY solid and you can safely write on it. I cannot recommend this desk highly enough, and if you do decide to get one, then I would really appreciate it if you could use the referral link in the description of the video. 👍
Nice review, just ordered mine today, went for same set up as you, except got the monitor arm and didn't bother with head phone holder or rgb (might get them later). Same as you, watched loads of reviews before shifting over a bag of sand for a desk lol. But i reckon it will be worth it, watching this made me feel better anyway haha. All the best.

Great review Nick! I have the same monitor I think (49” LG Ultrawide looking at the stand) so it is good to see it on the desk. It looks like there is still enough space to function even with the lost real estate at the back for the cable tray. One question I have is that I am a Mac user and have a Mac mini. I have heard conflicting reports as to whether the Mac mini would actually fit comfortably in the cable tray - Secret Labs online chat support said that it would but the dimensions they sent me afterwards indicated it may not. I wondered if you could maybe enlighten me as to whether the cable tray is wider at the top than at the very bottom so effectively the Mac mini may fit in but not be seated at the base (I hope my explanation makes sense 😂).
Hi Chris, thanks very much. Yes I can confirm that the width at the bottom is less than at the top, so your Mac Mini would be balanced on the internal "slopes" as to say, but this could be a good thing as that would help with ventilation. If all else fails, there is TONS of space on the desktop (if you get the XL), and you could sit the Mac Mini looking pretty on the desk itself. If you do decide to get the desk, then I would appreciate it if you could use the link in the description... Every penny helps nowadays! HA HA!
Probably should've looked into a proper ergonomic chair, rather than the "racer" chair. Those Secretlab chairs are terrible as far as ergonomics go. The bolsters push your shoulders forward, and the seat is rock hard.

Orderd a few days a go. Received email today for transport. And i bought the ultra wide screen, te samsung Odyssey G9. I also orderd wooden wall panels in dark smoked oak. My entire studie,business, day trading and gaming room is going to be wild…. Cant wait 😊

With the RGB light, I think I am doing something wrong because it unplugs from the controller easily if I nudge it on accident.
The connection is a bit bad, you have to push together quite hard. I am still struggling to keep it paired with Google Home as well.
