Exactly. Maybe 15 years ago while visiting Montreal, a case of pink eye flared-up. Americans can't get past the triage nurse w/o a $350 CAD payment; and all they want to know is cash or charge. Neither the ER visit nor the prescription were free. Nowhere on the planet can I go and ask/demand free anything from a system into which I'm not paying or vested.

Because taxpayers have to pay for their hospital stay/ care etc it just happened yesterday in San Diego 10 people feel and got injured and they were all taken to local San Diego hospitals.

Yes they will find other ways around but not the numbers crossing now, a tunnel is definitely a bottle neck and boats are easy to stop if the rest of the border is secure.
