BLUSH (2005) Woven Hand My Russia

Blush (2005) directed by Wim Vandekeybus. The film is shot at different locations in Brussels and Corsica and is based on the danceperformance of the same name (2002). The music is created by the American singer-songwriter David Eugene Edwards (16 Horsepower, Woven Hand). For the texts, Wim Vandekeybus collaborated with Peter Verhelst.

Mine is the 477th like.. on this 24th day of August 2020.. I've liked Wovenhand since my son first told me about him/them..
16 horsepower too.. my son invited me to a concert here in Billings MT in January 2011 which I declined.. hindsight is 20/20 they say.. we've been to several concerts since..
I've left every one wanting more..
Here's my penny.. I think the dance is about our secrets.. our attempts to hide our humanness.. outside we're prim and proper, inside we're sin sick.. we follow the crowd for fear of isolation and craving acceptance..
The woman in white brushing the man's shirt, I think is the false belief that we can fix other people.. we can meet their outward physical needs but can do nothing to fix human brokenness..
Only God with his gift of salvation can do that..
