But this is adorable and cute and thanks to the clip the little girl and parents will have a wonderful way to visit this moment.
Especially if you have siblings. Having Dad to yourself for a whole day is something they'll never forget. This was one thing I thanked my Dad for just before he died. You must be a great parent like they are. Mom's filming I assume.
I miss those days and now they are all grown up and have their own lives. I have my memories of taking them hunting, fishing and growing a garden so I know they will not go hungry. Plus they can teach their children how to do it all. Sharing the knowledge is the best way to know that our family will survive.
This reminds me of my granddaughter running to my son saying “Wait for me daddy I go fishing with you”. This is precious and it warms my heart ♥️. These are the absolutely BEST TIMES with our babies. ENJOY her because she won’t stay little for long. 🥰

Your kids were lucky to have a father like that, and a mom who also appreciated him. Seems so often lately the good guys get hooked up with crazy ladies and spend years in court trying to get even the most basic visitation rights. I soooo respect those that just keep on fighting!

Unfortunately my mother was awful, so he wasn't in our lives long as children, but I met him again at her funeral and he was wonderful to me up until his passing in his 90s.

OMG!! If she wasn’t already adorable, the mini fishing pole, tackle box and her little voice as she is all excited about fishing with her dad🥰put me clean over the edge. I think I just melted into a puddle of sentimental wholesomeness🥹🥰♥️. My hubs is an outdoorsman and has gone fishing all of his life. When we had our daughter, he too set her up with all of her gear and took her fishing whenever they could go. I remember when she caught her very first fish 🎣, an enormous 1 pounder. She was SOOO excited!! She still loves fishing with her dad which melts my heart every time. To have those memories and that kind of loving bond with your dad is so precious for little girls. That’s absolutely magical reminded me of my childhood going fishing with my grandfather. he had a key to our house and sometimes come in in the real early hours of the morning 1 or 2 o’clock when everyone was asleep. He’d wake me up and say come on. We’re going fishing. The tide will be coming in a couple of hours. It would be a school day and he take me fishing. He did leave a note on the fridge saying he took me fishing. My mom used to go crazy because it would be a school day. And this was before we had cell phones so it’s not like she could call him and tell him to bring me home. We come home with enough fish for several weeks of dinners. He’d have an argument with my mom about him taking me fishing he’d point out. School is important but being able to feed your family is equally important and this is something you didn’t learn in school? My dad always ask my grandfather why he didn’t wake him up. He would’ve took the day off work and went fishing with us. My grandfather‘s response was remember the time I woke you up and then you woke up your wife and then the lad wasn’t allowed to go. it’s funny. How watching that little girl running down the dock made me think of that I hadn’t thought about it in years. Thanks for that.
I went fishing with my grandpa too. One time I caught a huge thin fish. I still don't know what it was. I was so sad & cried & cried. My grandpa asked me if I wanted to throw it back. I asked if the fish would live? He told me that it would and so I told him yes, throw it back. He threw it back. He knew me really well. I was really happy. 😊
I am 73 and when I was little my dad would take me fishing and he never fished! He didn’t like fishing but he knew how much I loved it and he loved me. I miss him every day! 🐟

My mom was a stay-at-home mother and so my dad worked often times 6 days a week building pools. He'd work or be sleeping a lot of the time. But on those small chances, he'd have the energy on Sunday to take my brother and I to the beach (we'd be up at 2am, lunch packed, pick up "breakfast" at Circle K or 7Eleven, and park). We'd see the sun come up and be out for almost 12 hours, looking for sharks teeth, shells, and my dad would metal detect. Other weekends we'd go to a pier and fish. Beautiful memories, and as adults I still get along with my dad through music, movies, books, video games, cars, antiques, art, cooking and baking. 😸 Real dad's are precious, not always perfect but they do their best and I'm proud of my dad. Esp since my mom put him through So much hell. 😿 (Thankfully he's been divorced for 13 years and he's never been better). 😸💞

OMG!! If she wasn’t already adorable, the mini fishing pole, tackle box and her little voice as she is all excited about fishing with her dad🥰put me clean over the edge. I think I just melted into a puddle of sentimental wholesomeness🥹🥰♥️. My hubs is an outdoorsman and has gone fishing all of his life. When we had our daughter, he too set her up with all of her gear and took her fishing whenever they could go. I remember when she caught her very first fish 🎣, an enormous 1 pounder. She was SOOO excited!! She still loves fishing with her dad which melts my heart every time. To have those memories and that kind of loving bond with your dad is so precious for little girls. What a wonderful father ♥️. She will treasure these moments forever🙏♥️🕊️

That’s absolutely magical reminded me of my childhood going fishing with my grandfather. he had a key to our house and sometimes come in in the real early hours of the morning 1 or 2 o’clock when everyone was asleep. He’d wake me up and say come on. We’re going fishing. The tide will be coming in a couple of hours. It would be a school day and he take me fishing. He did leave a note on the fridge saying he took me fishing. My mom used to go crazy because it would be a school day. And this was before we had cell phones so it’s not like she could call him and tell him to bring me home. We come home with enough fish for several weeks of dinners. He’d have an argument with my mom about him taking me fishing he’d point out. School is important but being able to feed your family is equally important and this is something you didn’t learn in school? My dad always ask my grandfather why he didn’t wake him up. He would’ve took the day off work and went fishing with us. My grandfather‘s response was remember the time I woke you up and then you woke up your wife and then the lad wasn’t allowed to go. it’s funny. How watching that little girl running down the dock made me think of that I hadn’t thought about it in years. Thanks for that.

I went fishing with my grandpa too. One time I caught a huge thin fish. I still don't know what it was. I was so sad & cried & cried. My grandpa asked me if I wanted to throw it back. I asked if the fish would live? He told me that it would and so I told him yes, throw it back. He threw it back. He knew me really well. I was really happy. 😊

I am 73 and when I was little my dad would take me fishing and he never fished! He didn’t like fishing but he knew how much I loved it and he loved me. I miss him every day! 🐟

I have lovely memories of my dad too... fishing was a stick and string, and a jam jar which always stayed empty! I miss my dad so much even though I'm 67 and he went to Heaven 44 years ago.😢.

@DebraJean196 Agreed. This video is So wholesome. 😸💞. My younger brother and I grew up in Florida during the 90's. My mom was a stay-at-home mother and so my dad worked often times 6 days a week building pools. He'd work or be sleeping a lot of the time. But on those small chances, he'd have the energy on Sunday to take my brother and I to the beach (we'd be up at 2am, lunch packed, pick up "breakfast" at Circle K or 7Eleven, and park). We'd see the sun come up and be out for almost 12 hours, looking for sharks teeth, shells, and my dad would metal detect. Other weekends we'd go to a pier and fish. Beautiful memories, and as adults I still get along with my dad through music, movies, books, video games, cars, antiques, art, cooking and baking. 😸 Real dad's are precious, not always perfect but they do their best and I'm proud of my dad. Esp since my mom put him through So much hell. 😿 (Thankfully he's been divorced for 13 years and he's never been better). 😸💞
