And additionally, Nanjing is not suitable for a Winter Youth Games because it does not seem to have a nearby mountain (and some snowfall) in order to hold outdoor events like alpine skiing. Maybe Harbin or Changchun would be China's options to host an edition of the Winter Youth Olympics, given both cities' past experiences in hosting the Winter Universiade (now known as the FISU Winter World University Games) and the Asian Winter Games. Beijing can bid for the Winter YOG if they wanted to, unless they would have to use existing facilities the most like the venues that are already used for the Winter Olympics last February.
