Never worked on a computer before and was pretty nervous after hearing tales of people breaking the screen however I followed the video, took my time and upgraded my ram in literally 19 minutes. Great video, thanks so much!
I watched a different video that scared the heck out of me and you have made it seem so easy, although I realize I need to proceed with caution as to not break the screen. Thank you!
A good friend of mine has this same PC, and I'm about to upgrade it for him. I'm so glad I found this video, to show how take this apart. I'm putting an SSD hard drive in it. To my shock, I found out it only has 4gb of RAM, so I'll be upgrading that too. (Lenovo was really cheap with the hard drive and ram, but the price sure wasn't). Thanks for a great video.
Thanks for the video, it helped me get inside my friend's one that had a bad drive. Something that has me a bit confused was that the manufacturer's sticker said 1TB SSD however inside I found a 3.5 1TB magnetic drive.
Thank you for this. Very clear and detailed video instructions. My windows install failed and I had to recover data from disk before re-installing. Also it was always slow so I'll try your SSD upgrade and more RAM instead of spending $1300 for new HP AIO. I've built a lot of desktops but never tinkered with AIO before, so this is a great help.
Hi. Thanks for video. I have similar pc(all in one) and i wonder, if this pc has cmos battery? Cause time and date broken, every time I use pc, need to change time and date
Hello sir! I have a similar desktop (Lenovo AIO 520-ast), and one of the most common complaints I see online is that sometimes the power will not turn on at all. I have tried all of Lenovo's methods for fixing it (letting it sit for a day; holding the power button down for 30 seconds; bought a new power supply from them for $28 bucks, etc), and it STILL won't turn on. Furthermore, they won't replace the unit because I bought it third-party and the warranty expired. Can you do a video showing how to fix it, if you happen to know how? Thank you for this video, and be safe!
Thanks for the video! Quick question, is the strange mounting on the back compatible with vesa 75x75? The stand looks awful and I would like to install it on a vesa stand!
Hey, i got a big problem opening my pc like this..the big screw near the speaker is so hard to open, u got any advice how to open it ? I need to clean the inside of it by the way
You legend! Had about six super frustrating attempts at this and hadn't succeeded until watching this. Thank you! Any chance you could post a link to the caddy conversion kit you used, just so i don't waste any time/money
Hi sir I have a question about this exact unit maybe you can help me. I have the same unit here in the Philippines and can you help me how to use the feature and can you tell me where can I message you directly please. Thanks😊
I have a similar device and I also want to upgrade the RAM and HDD to SSD, since its slowing it down. But am afraid to void the warranty. Can I take it to the service center and have them upgrade it?
@@TopsMiah: Thanks for replying Sir. I went to the service center a few weeks ago and had them upgrade the HDD to a 480GB SSD and add in additional 8GB RAM so I won''t void the warranty. I had to pay for the parts and labor, but it really made a lot of difference. Windows boots up in seconds now and apps open so fast. I've noticed that the fans are more silent now and no more noisy HDD :)
The new ones say they come standard with a m.2 ssd pcle. Do you think it goes on the same sata connector, or did they put the m.2 slots somewhere else?
They put the M2 slot as separate. If you put a M2 in there. reinstall windows onto M2 memory. Your PC will be fast. Leave the HDD in there as backup and storage.
Hi, I'm after the operation now and i want to ask you abot something. In left down corner screen is a little bit darker. I don't know what happened. Which cable is responsible for this? Maybe I touch something else? Or i have damaged something? I now this is difficult to help but i need your advice :/
I have a Lenovo 'idea centre' AIO 520-24 AST desktop which may be the same model you are working on in your video. My computer doesn't need any upgrades yet but I'm sure it will need it in the future. Does my computer open exactly like the one you are working on here? Thank you in advance.
Extremely helpful for several people that need to upgrade their basic HDD's to much better SSD's, thanks for the help!

It's a poor design
I broke my screen 😢

Nicely done. I find a guitar pick works well in place of the thin knife. Thanks
Thanks for the video. I was unsure on how to open my Lenovo to upgrade the RAM. No worries now!
This was helpful. I own a computer shop, and AIO systems are all different. I actually like this design better than other's
Great to hear!

Hello, I don't have this computer anymore. What is your question maybe I can still help.
This makes the upgrade look easy. Thank you! 😍
Thank you.
I hope you cleaned the fan as well. Cause I feel like I need to clean mine as the computer itself is now making a loud fan noise. :(
Mine was brand new when I made this video, so fan didn't need cleaning.
I wonder is it possible to add in a graphics card like nvidia graphics card, even though the all in one already has an intergrated graphics?
Not sure, might take a mobile graphics card.
Can we add graphics card to this pc please answer wired or wireless
Not sure. no room inside. I don't have access to this anymore.
Excellent video, Very helpful!!
Glad it was helpful!

I understand, best thing to do is ask them and see what they say. If they can't maybe do you after the warranty runs out. All the best.

It has 2 slots of DDR4 but Crucial's website says max is 16GB
Do you know how much it would cost to repair the screen? Because I damaged it and I wanna know.
I am afraid I don't know. Wish you the best.

Hi I pulled away the screen from the sticky rubber by accident, is it broken now?
The sticky stuff is just to hold the LCD to the frame should be fine. As long has the cables and ribbons haven't been damaged. Hope its OK.
I need this pc panel
i’m too scared to open it😭😭😭
Idk how to power it on
Bought 1, 2weeks later the HDD took a shit ERROR CODE 1962
Why would you add a SATA SSD to this? Waste of money. Install an M2 based SSD for 5X+ the speed.
Suppers what is your name
Hi there, I am Tops and you are Rishi?
Pain in the butt, why I never recommend AIO's at all.
Every bit as bad as I feared. Awful, awful design. Thanks for the video.
Yes bad design. Thank you.
