John dies in SAW III (technically IV, too, since they are happening concurrently, as mentioned on the timeline at the end). He doesn't die in SAW II like you claim.
The only thing about this movie I didn't like was the end. What should have been the most brutal trap for the worst of them , which was the woman that ran the scam.. ended up being the most boring and least painful. That whole room filling with gas felt sort of boring. And she survived when she should of had the worst punishment of them all . We never had that closure on her. When he revealed he planned her to be in there and the music was playing, and he was covered in blood. It would of felt better of he just said " game over " as the room closed on her and something brutal happens to her. Even if the gas was knock out gas. And next scene he's dragging her into a trap he had set up next door for her. Like the worst one imaginable. Sort of felt like the end didn't give us that satisfaction.
Yeah a bit weird that her 'sacrifice' would be killing Parker, how does that teach her anything? She killed before and it didn't seem that her bond with the guy was genuine. This trap just rewarded her behavior.
Beanybop I totally agree with you and I felt kinda disappointed cause I really wanted her to die she was even bragging that scam john and the over ppl she was straight up embarrassing him and at the end credit scene the first guy henry who gave john the address to go there when john straight didn't give f if he lives or die even Hoffman said out all the men in the world to cheat you cheat john/jigsaw showing you that john doesn't like to be trick or humiliated and he left her free
I do know the producers have been talking about Saw XI with Hoffman being the main character. No one knows if the movie will be another prequel or have it take place after Saw 3D. I hope it's another prequel because there could be things that fill in the gaps after Saw II but before Saw III, especially if Hoffman being the main focus for the eleventh film.
I was thinking this. Its obviously going to be hard to replace tobin bell but I think they could make it a saw V style movie where a group of people go though a long sequence of traps and Hoffman (& maybe Amanda 🤔) do some thriller police stuff outside of the traps
Cecilia didn't know about Jigsaw until she was in the game. The kid wasn't playing football all that time, he went home and returned early morning. The ray gun could move to whatever position Gabriella was at. He planned for it to be with Amanda, the kid wasn't ever to be involved.

I did not force my wife to see the movie BUT she pointed something out. Jigsaw emptied the bullets. So why did they follow their commands and make the kid drink blood? To test the kid? To get them locked up in the room with poison? Why did jigsaw let the main villain kill the survivor? In the movie jigsaw said he had a lack of judgement… pfff yeah right jigsaw would let that slip this movie was a stretch. Wish it was better planned out.
I've been thinking, couldn't Valentina use the wire cutter line to cut the rope around her neck. I mean sure it would be dangerous, but so is cutting your leg.
Traps you will unlikely survive 1. Bone Marrow trap -Extreme loss of blood 2. Head Toaster Trap -most twisted and not enough time 3. Radiation trap -likely 2 get Cancer 4. Bomb trap -loss of skin, idk 5. Eye trap -just snapping joints Hardest traps 1. Head Toaster 2. Bone Marrow 3. Radiation Trap 4. RADIATION TRAP 5. Eye trap
Did you even watch this movie? You’ve got key details of traps wrong. The radiotherapy machine focussed on Gabriella was moved after breaking her leg. If she broke her arm first she’d still have to do her leg.
Wouldn't it just be easier to retcon John Kramer's death (he survived, he faked his death, that was a body double, etc) rather than come up with goofy rationale as to how there is multiple movies worth of content that was never talked about in the other films that take place later on?
Nah, the last trap wasn't supposed to be Kramer and Carlos. It was going to be Cecilia and Parker. Also, Kramer didn't die in Saw 2, he died in Saw 3/4

6:49 no she didn't. Idk how you got to that conclusion. She got caught and trapped and THEN she just did the 2+2 on him being Jigsaw. At absolutely no point in the movie she says or it's implied she already knew anything lol
Idk if it was the theater I was in but most of the movie for me felt like the brightest was turned down , has to much film grain , and looked blurry for me in many parts
I feel like every time i've watched reviews on this someone gets something wrong slightly which is fine but sometimes it effects the review they give especially as a saw fan who knows how shit the last few have been. John did not plan for Carlos to ever be there, this was johns mistake one of his only drastic mistakes, the table was meant for him and Amanda hence the two slots, he knew that Cecilia wouldn't be able to resist putting him and Amanda in one of their own traps, no john didn't plan for Carlos to be there nor did he plan for Gabriella to die those were consequences of the game and of Cecilia's actions, its why john even says "Not in the way that we planned". Cecelia in a way is EXACTLY like john and that's sort of the point but rather than give people another chance or save the "flock" Cecilia is fine with sacrificing them. Amanda and Parker are essentially one and the same, they follow a higher person and are manipulated into doing a bidding on both sides of the coin. Any film that can flip on its head to make you feel sorry for a mass murderer and root for them to win is something that takes a lot of good writing. I feel like people are being slightly harsh when they say stuff like "oh well john just planned for everything then" no, no he didn't. Also i think someone also said this, but Cecilia didn't know he was jigsaw till further on she did NOT PLAN for any games I don't know where this has came from? What she specifically said was that she didn't care that the other players died and when she watched each of them die all she thought was less people to split the money with, this does not imply at all that she knew about the traps before she was placed in one. Jigsaw was well known by this point, the traps were famous we know this because this takes place literally a few weeks into a month after saw 1 and just before saw 2 which in saw 2 they already know its jigsaw. It's not random that she would know this after a while of being in one. - Also just to add is, that we know jigsaw has been doing this way longer than what we saw originally with the bear trap of Amanda in saw 1 this is confirmed through flash backs in later films.
This one actually made me like Saw movies again, tbh. And I kind of think it was because it was a little goofy. I like movies that don't take themselves too seriously... even horror movies.
I didn't mind this movie but your video needed more research dude. You misunderstood a lot of different things here. I'm not ripping on you, I'd legit just like to see better! Before you ask, my first example is you talking about the brain matter trap. The mask didn't close and crush his face. The wires and filaments inside the mask heated up super quick. It closed and burned him to death while simultaneously electrocuting him.
I’ve seen that one mentioned a bit. I was referencing the comparisons to the original Bear Trap that the producers said inspired them. Any other notes?
@@LetMeExplainyea a couple things. John is both old and frail by the start of this movie. He's clearly old enough that he would have been around well before the internet and computers in homes. This easily explains away why John types with two fingers but is capable of designing traps and building them. You can see the talent and detail in his drawings, John simply does not exist in the digital world qt this point of his life. Billy is not using training wheels. Billy is on a tricycle. Tricycles have 3 wheels. Carlos was not outside playing soccer the whole time. We see that's its a new day, early in the morning. He shows up and starts kicking the ball which gets John and Ceciles attention. Moments later after the blood trap when everyone leaves we can see the sunrise. At 8:48 you mention that everything was supposed to be meticulously planned. It was. John and Amanda were supposed to end up in the blood boarding trap in order to make Cecile and Parker think they had won so they would go retrieve their money and trigger the final game. John did not plan on Carlos being part of the game and even points this out out loud to Amanda. It was an oversight on John's part and based on previous movies that take place in the future, I'd say he learned his lesson. Gabby dying was neither a part of the plan or not a part of the plan. John didn't know how her game would end. She DID complete her game and in John's eyes she deseves to live which is why both him and Amanda are devastated when Cecile kills her. Ceclie doesn't leave her man Parker to die. She stabs him and then he suffocated on the poison gas. To be fair, she never even left the room. Sunrise. They walk into the sunrise.

I'ma be Petty with a a capital "P" the ONLY bad thing about SAWX was Amanda's hair and how they didn't use DE-AGING on her but put her under those harsh ass yellow and green lights that only highlighted her lines and wrinkles (the lighting was gorgeous btw just not blasting on her 🤦🏾♀️) then they did her even MORE dirty by using as many tight close-ups as possible! Now I'm 44 and I'm not as gorgeous as I was 20 years ago either but I'm also not in a huge motion picture movie either cuz if I was baby let me tell you it would be in my contract to not use tight close ups and the lighting would have to be just right, I'm talking Joan Crawford level of control 😉! Other than the above mentioned I absolutely loved this movie and will definitely be hoping and praying for more from John Kramer & Co.
Spiral isnt legit & cant be counted as the 9th entry. So in spite of the name, Saw "X" isnt the 10th movie, but the actual 9th one.... in terms of release order. Chronologically is another can of worms because the order would go: Saw .5 (past events of Jigsaw); Saw 1 stays the same, Saw "X" would be the second, 2 is 3rd, 3 is 4th, 4 is 5th, 5 is 6th, 6 is 7th, 7 is 8th & the present day sequence of Jigsaw would make for 8.5. Making it where chronologically, we have even less entries but either way, there isnt a tenth entry as timeline isnt set up for that chronologically and there wasnt a legit 9th entry before Saw "X" when looking at order of release.
This was probably the only Saw movie where Jigsaw didn't piss me off with his choice of "victims"- it always ALWAYS annoyed me, the audacity this guy has, making judgements about people without knowing or caring what kind of childhood they had, what kind of generational trauma, he sees one little slice of their lives and then decides to play god, justifying with some bullshit about making them "better people"🙄🙄At least these guys personally ripped him off, this time he actually deserved to be all pompous and self-righteous...and yeah yeah, I guess we can say "well he had brain cancer, that's gotta have some kinda effect" but he's also got a massive ego and a God complex- I mean, he could do "good" by actually killing evil billionaires and politicians but noooo, he'd rather pick on people who just need intensive therapy....good to see the character Amanda working again though

There can only be so much blood in there. He knew that Cecelia’s boyfriend would try to use that gun on him and set them up in the traps. That’s why Amanda says you failed your test.
Except what he just... tried to shoot them, instead of taking them hostage?
@@tevenpowell8023the gun had no bullets anyway since john took them out so even if he did try to shoot them it wouldn’t succeed
@@khwasongh Yes I know.
But John's plan was to be taken hostage, and to let them go for the money. So if the guy had just tried to shoot them as soon as he got the gun then the entire plan would've fallen apart
Thank you, you just explained what I was trying to figure out.
@@khwasonghthe gun had bullets they were just useless cause john actually take out the gun powder out of them so if he check the gun he would see the bullets but they can't be fired
I never understood how John didn't realize sooner that he wasn't cut in the head... It took him days, maybe a week to realize his bandage wasn't soaked or soiled with blood and wouldn't he be experiencing post brain surgery pain if it had truly happened? That just made no sense to me and John is a brilliant man (as well all... SAW)
they really should have added a scene where they did give john little cut on the head then bandage to authenticity. so at least he'd THINK something was done here. minor plothole but its there
Also the fact that that John knew there weren’t bullets with powder in the gun. Then let the girl die by hand of the main villain.
Saw X didn't have a lot of blood in it. The eye sucking machine was delirious and puts you on the very edge of your rear end area.
John dies in SAW III (technically IV, too, since they are happening concurrently, as mentioned on the timeline at the end). He doesn't die in SAW II like you claim.
Vocal slip but it’s right on the screen
Wrong again, John dies in Terminator dark fate terminated by the T-800
I have a feeling she's gonna be sidekick when John passes
Beanybop I totally agree with you and I felt kinda disappointed cause I really wanted her to die she was even bragging that scam john and the over ppl she was straight up embarrassing him and at the end credit scene the first guy henry who gave john the address to go there when john straight didn't give f if he lives or die even Hoffman said out all the men in the world to cheat you cheat john/jigsaw showing you that john doesn't like to be trick or humiliated and he left her free
*would have
But yeah.
Wait? Cecilia expected Kramer to set them in a trap? I thought she recognized Kramer which just made her want to leave the country faster.
When I saw the little boy I was in tears man
same, i would’ve cried had he actually died🥲
even knowing that John survived (because of saw 2), i still felt nervous about the outcome with Carlos and i think that makes it a great movie 🥹
He planned for it to be with Amanda, the kid wasn't ever to be involved.
they've always tried to make him an anti hero for some reason, the creator got mad when they called jig saw a killer
8:03 THANK YOU FOR POINTING THIS OUT I WAS GOING CRAZY NOBODY BRINGS THIS UP 😂😂😂
Because obviously he didn’t plan for Carlos to be there lmao
the eye sucking trap is SOOO easy , just need to brake fingers, let me tell you what i would crack it to max all the way to get that shit over with, broken fingers can heal, eyes being sucked out of your head can't
Jigsaw was always the most interesting character, naturally a film that focuses on him would be the best
after playing alot of chess and practicing magic tricks for years. this movie is one of my favriotes (weird opening i know) its just so cool to see a saw movie where stuff doesnt go according to plan and seeing all the fail safes. (the fake cuffs, the multple traps (blood trap of gas trap for the con lady)) it was a great movie for saw fans and new people
I woke up this morning and said "I want to play a game" 😂 I just finished at 5:30 A.M then looked on RUclips for a review and found this one. I love this movie and I hope they keep going! And I love this channel, you have a new subscriber. 👍
I want bto Play a game.. I luv it
This is the best Christmas card ever. Just take the saw x poster and it says X mas. Now you can send it to all your family and friends. 😂
It's probably been enough time since the last Saw movie that they were able to make it feel refreshed and terrifying
I thought it was ironic and great writing that the first trap is a saw again and she even got a leg up on the competition
I thought it would be better as a prequel about Jigsaw's origin.
We already got that…. They show that in Saw 3-4
Damn the chronicle length is out of place.
It was in my top three. But it’s the best put together film. But saw 2 is the best old saw film
I've been thinking, couldn't Valentina use the wire cutter line to cut the rope around her neck. I mean sure it would be dangerous, but so is cutting your leg.
I don’t know how much of this movie you actually watched 😂
John does teach the audience (us) to make the right choices, through his movies he teaches us too.
Our choices have consequences
most machinists i know don't know how to type but some of them could build you some rolex quality clockwork
The second he was talking in the movie I was like boy I missed that man’s voice
I enjoyed the explanation. And I love how they went back in time to really encapsulate the story once more.
5:50 that joke was too on point man🤣🤣🤣
I watched this movie even though I went to go see Barbie lol and I was thinking wait did he pack this puppet in his luggage? Lol
Same!! 😂😂😂
The first thing I thought when the puppet rolled on in
Amanda probably brought it. As well as robes, tools, masks
Color sepia para retratar mexico? Groundbreaking 😒
1:49 all the great engineers type with their index finger… Montgomery Scott in the voyage home… Scotty and jigsaw are the only two engineers I know
Traps you will unlikely survive
1. Bone Marrow trap
-Extreme loss of blood
2. Head Toaster Trap
-most twisted and not enough time
3. Radiation trap
-likely 2 get Cancer
4. Bomb trap
-loss of skin, idk
5. Eye trap
-just snapping joints
Hardest traps
1. Head Toaster
2. Bone Marrow
3. Radiation Trap
4. RADIATION TRAP
5. Eye trap
I saw this last night, and I loved it!
Did you even watch this movie? You’ve got key details of traps wrong. The radiotherapy machine focussed on Gabriella was moved after breaking her leg. If she broke her arm first she’d still have to do her leg.
She’d be able to walk a bit when it moved, not just hang there.
Not sure what you disagree with there
She could probably still move around while breaking her ankle before being completely melted instead of just hanging...
@@LetMeExplainBecause what you said was that she swung into the way of the trap when she didn’t. The trap itself moved.
Yeah, that would be in the way of the trap John set up.
Being on her feet would’ve allowed her to move away to give her time.
@@LetMeExplain She swung out of the way of the trap and then the trap focused back on her.
They should have put CGI on oh girl cuz she looks like it’s Saw X not how early it was suppose to be in the series
I just saw the movie and I will surley say that even tho o saw it for free on a website, I would pay 100 dollars to see this film for the first time again. I fell shame that I didn’t pay for this movie because it’s worth the money. 10/10 I love the saw saga and very well done to the filmmakers as well as the actors the scriptwriters. Everything 10/10
Now, are they gonna try to do more of these movies with Tobin Bell, or are they gonna let the man retire?
Their biggest mistake was killing him off too early in the franchise. Its safe to assume they're gonna milk this as long as they can.
i think tobin likes doing these though, he seems to genuinely enjoy playing the character based on the interviews he does and how he acts behind the scenes! plus im sure the check is nice 😭
@@st4rgazings470 Tobin is 81 years old now. I can guarantee you he's having a good time on set. As for the cheque you mentioned, something tells me he looks at it and adds it to his descedants' inheritance.
I'm actually pretty surprised this is getting such praise. 🤔
and adam should have come back, it would have been the icing on the cake of all the polaroid shots in every movie
After watching the movie just tonight I noticed you really don't need to see the first four OG Saw movies. Just the first one, the rest explains itself if you want to find out more of the series.
that billy cribs trailer scared me so bad I FUCKING FLINCHED WHEN MANS POPPED UP TALKING LIKE THAT 😭
rehab was supposed to be a fresh start 🐴
My current favorite.
i saw this at a drive in theater while it was storming 😩

Love your videos
Alright seeing these comments makes the movie so much better. I'm horrible at connecting movies and story lines but this and you guys definitely made this movie more enjoyable 😁😁😁
I very much enjoyed this one!
6:49 no she didn't. Idk how you got to that conclusion. She got caught and trapped and THEN she just did the 2+2 on him being Jigsaw. At absolutely no point in the movie she says or it's implied she already knew anything lol
I really liked this one ! I liked seeing his story , from the other side , and how he became the monster and why
I usually love your videos but man you said a lot of these wrong about the franchise lol it was hard to watch
Give me the explainer
Idk if it was the theater I was in but most of the movie for me felt like the brightest was turned down , has to much film grain , and looked blurry for me in many parts
I wonder if he had given them more time if more would have survived/“been rehabilitated”
I hate that wig they always made Amanda wear.
He really didnt age 😂😂
I feel like jigsaw is always an anti-hero but just very heavy on the anti part
Never watched 1-3, loved amanda here. She was great
Wait doesnt jigsaw also take place durinf SAW 2? And the other half is right after SAW The final chapter?
Y'all hate me for this.. but that kid is the future jigsaw.. they put them in there to continue the damn franchise.
still can't believe they made this many movies
I don't know why but the movie not played in Indonesia... I'm kinda mad right now 😡
Amanda had the worst punishment ... .....to wear that hideous haircut.
Dialogue was shocking
1:07 this is never explained. Was he in on it too?
I feel like Valentina got the worse one, typical, nurses being put through the ringer, very on brand
she was a street sex worker being raped and John was like "she must need this ultimate punishment bc she participated in getting my hopes up a little"
This one actually made me like Saw movies again, tbh. And I kind of think it was because it was a little goofy. I like movies that don't take themselves too seriously... even horror movies.
HOW on earth was Saw X goofy?
All I want to know is that happened to the Doctor from the 1st and 7th movie when he “kill” (?) hoffman
theres gonna be saw XI, so we might find out then
This movie was good but easily the softest one out the franchise.
@@sleptonitsundays9531damned you are mad 😂😂😂
Actually, if you read my first comment you will notice I’m simply trying to help the OP by making the video actually accurate to the movie? I even point this out and the OP responded and asked if he had missed anything else. If you’re going to troll you’ll have to step your game up because the fact that you didn’t read anything just made your post embarrassIng. You can do better.
Tell me you don't know anything about the franchise without telling me
I'ma be Petty with a a capital "P" the ONLY bad thing about SAWX was Amanda's hair and how they didn't use DE-AGING on her but put her under those harsh ass yellow and green lights that only highlighted her lines and wrinkles (the lighting was gorgeous btw just not blasting on her 🤦🏾♀️) then they did her even MORE dirty by using as many tight close-ups as possible!
Who says that you ? You don’t make the movies
🤓
I’ve better waiting for this one!! 👏👏
I swear at this point this series is just Death Note.
My favorite saw movie and I seen it twice
This one is definitely more gory than the others
Yeah I couldn't get thru the first actual trap lol the other films are more focused on emotion or plot. Hooray for horror fans tho
