I've only come to realize that the story has come this far. A lot has happened these past years of playing Honkai Impact 3rd. Friendships made and lost; conflicts and battles endured; rescuing Kiana only to learn that she only has a little time left to live. But through it all, we still don't have Ai-chan's blessing in gacha.

Well keep in mind they never found Himeko's body and with that the Gem of Haste has disappeared with Himeko as well. A Gem that just need a high amount of Honkai energy to fully awaken which Himeko body due to her Honkai corruption may provide.
@@orrthehunter yes. And in the "Final Lesson" you can just see the markings on her body upon using her last attack against HoV. 🙂 She Saved Kiana, but at the cost of Honkai Corruption... Himeko might be dead, but The Herrscher of Fire will still wake. (With a Zombie Himeko)
I think she will comeback,i meam,we of course still need himeko's new battlesuit,which mean a story for himeko,there is no way that she is just "dead" and the developer just ignore her,of course they will make new himeko's battlesuit in the future,and make a story for himeko again

This is why I like Mei so much. being selfless and caring just from the start of the game right at the beginning I knew she was going to be my bias pick simply just because of her personality. Now knowing this made me like her more.

But still, it doesn't sit right with me. To betray ur best friend in order to save that best friend... is that really the right thing to do? And besides, does Kiana know that the reason Mei became the herscher was to save her from the honkai infection in her body?

But i guess i understand now, that even when it is about ur friend, nothing in life is sugar and rainbows. Some sacrifices like this must be made.

A deep analysis about the 3 factions would be nice, especially the World Serpent.
I need more information about them anyway. Not much available so far and I would like to know how it was formed because its founder was locked away for a long time.
Honestly, other than some brief mentionings of the World Serpent in the Durandal Visual Novel, almost everything we know about them has been mentioned in-game. There currently isn’t much to analyze, but perhaps later after we get to know the organization better.

Daffa I wouldn’t say important but it definitely is a massive helper for context and backstory, it gives you insight into Yae’s, kallen’s and otto’s relationship and past, it also speaks on the old world more and fu hua and Kevin and it looks into the missions the girls have gone on also the herrescher eruptions (Sirin and Mei) and divine keys too, there is probably way more but it more or less explains context also sometimes they don’t upload all manga so you might have to search a bit
@@shonytheesupreme4757 that is actually both a good and bad thing. It's nice that this info is available but the fact that you have to look outside the actual game is not a good thing. Kind of makes it harder to understand certain things when a company makes that choice.

Try playing unfinished story chapters stages. When it changes, exit the game and you'll have it permanently. If it changes back to ACE, keep playing until it becomes Gion again. If you don't have unfinished story chapter stages, then you'll have to wait for the next chapter to release.
It is really odd there isn't an option to change the bridge music. You can in the dorm, sorta.

My appreciation for Mei's character, and Honkai Impact 3rd in general, has for some reason sky rocketed.

The writing in this game is brilliant. The amount of subtlety and foreshadowing is amazing when you go back and play some of the early missions. Unlike some games, manga, anime, books, and movies, this feels like the writers are constantly reviewing the lore and story and slowly weaving their way through the story, while also keeping all the actions of the characters logical. Of course Mei would sacrifice herself to save Kiana, this is the payoff to her character so far.
Plot Hole. How did Kiana transfer into an elite school for the mega-wealthy?
If your dad is on the run where does the money come from to continue to go to such an elite school? Wouldn't the state have seized all of his money? Leaving her homeless?

4. We know the sea of quanta is like overworld of dimensions. Every bubble is a world some are fictional worlds others are real worlds with some changes, like their names says "is a sea of different universes and inifinite possibilities" our world is just a small island in a sea full of islands.

Geez never knew mei was such a great character. This vid may have realized that mei has to be my favorite character in honkai next to fu hua.
Background stories of factions would be very helpful to understand the lore better. If you include Fire Moth that would be even more better! I know it may be a lil bit intricate to understand the whole thing bc the story is scattered around game, manga, and novel but i swear everything would be more fun once you know the entirety of it. Imo the whole storyline is good GOOD. (Alsoplzreadthemangaitsamazing)

There are some false information/retconned stuff in this vid that's worth mentioning.
1. Mei's change into a Herrscher in Nagazora wasn't caused by "her peers being mean to her and her suddenly snapping." As seen in the Theater of Thunder and even in this video, Kiana was there for Mei to combat that. The real trigger was Cocolia triggering an artificial eruption in Nagazora. The Honkai did indeed appeal to her being bullied and her Herrscher personality was indeed born before that if the manga wasn't retconned, the trigger though, was Cocolia's artificial eruption.
2. Kiana and Mei being BFFs is heavily debatable. That is indeed the case in the game but in the mangas, although never explicitly said, it's implied that they do share slight romantic versions of those feelings.
3. Rita did not format Ningyo, she *said* she reset it but in reality all she did was a force shut down. She later states that "humans have two hands, one to take, and one to give," implying that after receiving what she needed, she gave the rest to Theresa and lied to Otto about it.
4. The Second Key didn't reveal a path just to the Sea of Quanta, but rather, to the Imaginary Space that *houses both* the Sea of Quanta and the Imaginary Tree. This is why Otto could see Fallen Rosemary Rita in the Sea of Quanta along with Genshin's Teyvat in the Imaginary Tree.
The rest are on point and yeah the story is absolutely amazing :p
To my understanding all of the Visual Novel/Mangas are canonical to the Game excluding the obvious joke ones such as "Kiana Plays Honkai", so their relationship in both is romantic in nature. The Chinese Government enforces heavy censorship on homosexual content so it's hard to get it through, though MiHoYo still finds their ways. Such as the "Elysia wanting to touch Mei's horns" bit which causes Mei to start half-moaning in pleasure, half-groaning in frustration at Elysia who later teases her about being "shy"/"bashful", and Raven joining in on the teasing later showing her interest in "Mei's horns". Elysia also allows Mei to "touch her elf ears" as repayment and the screen immediately cuts to black and then comes back to another teasing over Mei being "bashful".
As for Kiana... look they try to cut back a bit with her a good bit, but Kiana is a horndog whose motto might as well be "I'm taken, not dead", I mean she literally doesn't even skip a beat in Moon Shadow with Fu Hua, "I gave my body and spirit to Mei, but I guess I can still try." when she mistakenly thinks Fu Hua is attempting to seduce her into a relationship while on a mission. And let us remember her "bondage on the first date" line to Theresa or the fact she didn't bite Himeko's head off for stumbling into bed with her when she was drunk. Needless to say, they make their points.
All other points are on point, though I think canonically these "Training Videos" are done in-universe by Schicksal who obviously either won't know somethings or will want to omit some details.

This explained the story of Honkai Impact so well, and now I finally fully understand the story behind Honkai Impact. It's such a beautiful and sad story, but thank you for taking the time to explain it to us, I appreciate it! :)

From what I remember, when Kevin was explaining HoT's gameplay, he said that Kiana's eventual death was only delayed, but he didn't tell Mei that (iirc), and he even comments how he is curious to see Mei's reaction when her knight dies nonetheless.
Makes me think if Mei will once again feel utterly powerless since she couldn't stop Kiana's fate completely.

Amazing story! Thanks also for summarizing all these chapters from Mei's perspective. Was trying to explain a friend the story and this video pretty much sums it, with the exception of Fu Hua being Kiana's mentor but guess she wasn't covered much due to the same Mei's perception of the events. His voice makes it even more interesting and calm to hear.

This is an extremely summed-up version of the entire honkai verse story so far, so it is extremely helpful for those who are new to the game and the storyline.
After watching, I cannot bear my the sadness when I watched Lament of The Fallen in tandem with Cooking with Valkyries Season 2. Because we all knew what happened in the ending of Chapter 16 recently for Global servers.

Man... I've played the story through and am up to date and watched the CGs many many times, but when one of the character arcs are shown on their own you can really see the effort put into it like wow, so amazing

I want to know more about Kallen and Sakura and the connection they have with Mei and Kiana. We know that Mei has some kinda connection with Sakura but I don't know how it is possible. The tragic story between Mei and Kiana makes me remember Sakura and Kallen...Maybe this is theirs destiny, like some kinda past life

fu-hua is the most mysterious valkiria in the honkai universe and we would like to know what her goals were when she was born what does she prefer what are her goals and her past and what she did to you seem to hide a lot of secrets. thank you
There aren't much secrets about her if you read the manga. Even her lost memories are explained.

You would also find out that everyone's sad story is nothing compared to Fu Hua's. She's also the strongest character next to Kevin (that's if she has her memories intact).

The video is good and very helpful for people unfamiliar with the story, but I do have to point out that there were some things missing.
The video doesn’t mention Project MEI at all, where Massive Electric and Anti-Entropy, which Ryoma worked with(often taking orders directly from Welt Yang himself), implanted the Gem of Conquest in Mei. The Gem of Conquest was the single Herrscher core that AE managed to retrieve from Sirin during the Second Honkai War, while Schicksal left with the Gem of Desire, Gem of Serenity, Gem of Haste, and Core of the Void.

im SOOOO thankful they made this video. i had no idea what was going on i thought i completely lost touch with the storyline
I would personally like to see herrsheir of fire. I just named her after my OC soren. Anyways when she was younger she burned down her own village to loosing control of her herrsheir. While dying this old woman gave soren a seal which is shown on her bun to keep her from loosing control of her herrsheir powers. Hundreds of years later While in seclusion soren comes across himeko's lifeless body and meets kiana( because I really want himeko to come back ) after rejecting kiana but then becoming her friend she tells kiana she can bring himeko back if she can gain control of her herrsheir powers and find himeko's soul and bring it back to her body as she can take away a bring back souls with the bells on her tails and ears when she transforms into a herrsheir. So while trying to stop mei and get himeko's soul back eventually soren has to fight mei with her herrsheir powers and kiana's friends fight forcing her to choose between one another. Well this is just an idea I had probably stupid but something I personally liked. Maybe you can use this maybe not I just thought her personality and character design I made for her would fit in the story but at the end of the day its just a fan fiction. BTW you are doing a FIRE job with this story line and animations.😍💜💜 love the work
I forgot to mention that she is a nine tailed fox with wings and how others have dragons she has a full fleged nine tails fox with wings that have her same design for her ears and tail. Just an idea though

As a genshin player I would very much like to see this series more so I can learn and connect dots between the 2 universes
If you’d like to connect more dots then read the honkai mangas, theres so much lore in honkai that they were seperated into mangas and light novels aswell GGZ (another game from mihoyo) has the same characters as honkai too but with different plot so idk

I loved this a lot I had felt for awhile Mei didn’t get a lot of spotlight when it came to story, I’d really like to see the past of characters like Otto,Welt,and Kevin. That is answered in the manga/webcomics, each Divine Key was made during the Previous Era by a scientist called Dr. MEI (all caps), out of the core of defeated Herrchers, to have a better opportunity to fight off future threats.
And for APHO, the current arc in the manga is dealing with some of that.

@@hirogamer01o46 yes, Dr. Mei and Kevin had a boy, but he was tube-made (Dr. Mei used her and Kevins DNA or whatever and made that baby in a tube). His name is Adam and well the manga doesn't explain what happened to him, so...
