      Even though Larry has the world's top armwrestlers visiting and training him, he's still seeking knowledge out online. This confirms his dedication and that he's just like all the other armwrestling addicts, and not just all about money.

    Great video! After learning more about the high hook and being able to performe it at the table, I’ve noticed that cupping really is the make or break strenght in armwrestling. For me it’s the most important strenght to have. I think one of Engin’s quotes sums it up perfectly… ”It doesn’t matter if you choose to pronate or supinate. The cup is present during both”

    Love it fellas. I'm brand new to this sport and I was just taught the value of hitting with 'your hammer' straight back against a hooker, peel those fingers and then fight for your 'happy bubble'. I seem to be much stronger opening a 'match' this way and as long as I don't just focus on the back pressure and still keep some cup and pronation on the hit... I'm feeling 'dangerous' to more experienced pullers and that makes me feel happy lol. Thanks for all the great advice.

    I'm brand new so I'm not sure if this even makes sense but would it be possible to try train some kind of hit that lands you in that position rather than trying to hit to the pin?

    • @ConeruZ
      @ConeruZ Год назад

      Yes, learning to quickly find that position through a hit will train pretty much all the aspects needed in armwrestling except for supination. Also, learning to feel which pressures to focus on mid hit is going to make you a more efficient arm wrestler. For example, if you hit with all the fundementals but feel your rotation and backpressure isn't sufficient you can quickly sink into a deep hook and try to strengthen the fundamentals that you have access to. Likewise, if you feel your internal totation failing and like you can't really cup you can choose to move into more of a toproll.

  • @toopkarcher
    @toopkarcher 3 года назад +1

    So the way to start a high hook is to take your opponents cup and rotation. If you've done that then 100% of the time you'll just continue to toproll to the pad. If your opponent is a hooker and your backpressure and pronation can't take their hand you've just been sucked into a hook. How is the high hook then not just a posting toproll with more cup.

    • @tablemonkeys5262
      @tablemonkeys5262  3 года назад +1

      The angle of attack is also different from T1 to H1 because the high hook has more shoulder involved so you are able to drive more to the side. So yes more cup and more shoulder.
