      It's possible to hire a skilled financial planner especially if you're not one yourself. I hired one after my retirement pension took a hit in April due to the crash. The planner devised a defensive strategy that protected and profited from my portfolio during this red season. I've made over $250k since then.

      Regardless. I saw a barely used one at Carmax that had 1.3K miles on it for $53K. Mind you someone traded this in for a good bit less.

I have 5 bedroom 2 bath house 2500 square foot house when I bought it the mortgage was Slightly higher than renting the same house in my area.. just 6 years in after inflation, you can't rent a 2 bedroom apartment for what my mortgage payment is..

In 7 years we went from an income of $40k to $180k. Part of that included me sucking up and willing myself through engineering school, which I graduated at the age of 26.

    • @thedude5040
      @thedude5040 Год назад

      @TheAcesShow there won't be another collapse for awhile. Don't get someone's hopes up for something that is not even fundamentally supported by today's economy. The only collapse that could happen is a treasury default on the national debt, but even then housing inflation is caused from a shortage of houses, thus a housing crash won't happen

    Actually renting cost more than mortgage repayments. Let's just your rent weekly is $520, that's $2080 monthly give or take. In the end it's not your property, no money in it for you. On the other hand let's just say $250000 mortgage is around $800 to $1000 monthly repayment. In the end you can sale your property at around $300000 to $350000. Saying renting is good or cheaper is simply not true.

    I would say gold shouldn't be considered a "fear based" financial investment. Its typical gains beat inflation, and you can either keep it in a bank/account somewhere, or keep it yourself. It's not as strong an investment as mutual funds (if you actually manage the 10-12 percent Ramsey says he gets) But its reliable.

    I wanted a simple wedding for myself, just doing it in a mosque really (I'm a Muslim). Of course my mom was annoyed, saying it's part of our culture to invite a lot of people to the wedding, especially on the woman's side (yes culturally we would do 3 receptions for Malay wedding on average). But hey - my parents are paying for the venue, so I just let it be. If they asked me or my current husband to pay for the venue, then I would totally reject the idea and stick with simple reception near the mosque instead.

    Yeah the paying rent and mortgage amount won’t work in Australia. It’s 100+% depending on area. There’s no such thing as 30% of income we’ve been in a housing boom since the 2000 stock market crash and the bubble still hasn’t popped artificially inflated. Someone stole 27 items from Woolworths the other day basic needs. It was worth $500 same story everywhere. You’re living off flour and water diet now if you get a few veggies you’re doing well. Forget cleaning products. I’m starting to use soap bars for everything including laundry and dishes household cleaning. Had to cut my own hair not the best but it’s healthier. People have no money left for bills. It’s all going to rent and mortgages. The only people are the ones making the rent. They’re pushing the inflation even higher and artificial inflation by companies who are making bigger profits on year not losses pushing inflation higher. N no rental properties available housing shortage construction industry gone broke because prices inc land overpriced. Pushing prices even higher. It gets worse from there but they’re the big ones.

    1st of all, milk before cereal. 2nd off, Im sorry, but a puppy is not a human child. You can't afford a dog.let alone 10k for a puppy. A puppy? You have known your spouse hopefully longer than a puppy smh.

    i’m wondering if the $500k indian wedding was lost in the conversion of indian rupees to dollars. $500k in rupees is $6076.78 US dollars.

    I feel for all those crazies I tried to reason with that pulled out of the stock market to invest in hand sanitizer during the covid crash. My stocks have since not only recovered but are growing nicely.

    15 yr mortgage is not ideal, just do 30 and pay it down faster

      Being in debt for 30 years and paying over double the interest isn’t ideal. Life is too short to be in chains for three decades.

    Wait what (story one) $30k wedding when broke. The ceremony is not expensive. Why pay that much money for people to get drunk? If you need every penny it is not a fairy tail, dont plat stupid prices. Pay what you can afford and move on. Hold a back garden casual celebration later where everyone brings food, or alchahol.
    Nevermind story 2 total is just mind boggling.
