3:28 im right there with you. a laugh track trains the audience to laugh when the writers threw in a joke, regardless if its fun or not. No laugh track gives us the chance to see if its funny. if its not, the silence enhances the awkwardness, making it more real. like as if we, the viewer, are a fly on the wall.
This is another classic episode. Michael causing issues on a boat, Pam & Roy have set a date for their wedding and Jim being depressed about it. The ending with Jim and Michael was pretty cool, their moments together are always great. This is the last time we see Amy Adams on this show. This show is fantastic, it’s great to see you go through this show and see the different characters and their stories while working in this paper company. Great reaction James, I hope you’re doing well. Have a great rest of your weekend and take care!
So years ago I worked in an office "arena" as we called it (by "we" I mean a bunch of engineers with great sense of humor) and the boss above our boss would do these stupid leadership and self improvement days every 3 months which was basically everyone hanging out in the basement, watching poorly made slides, listening to this guy go on and on about things he never did or didn't know how to do and eat free pizza around lunch. One of these times he is going through his slide and in big letters it says "When you have problems: Divide and Concur" and no, that is not a typo on my part. We all watched the Office and immediately you could see the smiles appear as we made the connection. So we started affectionately referring to the gent as the "Office Michael". We even did print outs around the office says "Remember to divide and concur!". Good times had by all!
5:30 that’s Rob Riggle, he was/is a bad ass Marine in real life, he’s done so much! He was in NY for 9/11 and has a great interview on “Americans Veterans Center” about him being at Ground Zero. He’s truly a great man. If you ever have the time, watch that interview🙏
The Michael and Jim moments really are great, love them so much. I definitely learnt a few dance moves from Michael this episode! Also love the drama, the characters are all really cool.
I really respect how you keep things vague in the thumbnail for people who haven’t watched some of the shows you’re reacting to ❤ Best reaction channel on RUclips btw
Honestly Michael has his moments of being completely on top of things. He doesn't self inflect at the time of doing dumb things but he isn't as dumb as everyone thinks he is. Look at the uk version....
yeah, this show is nothing if not drama....but, its also nothing if not comedy...& somewhere in that delicate balance....therein lies the show's genius.
You never know how actions (like Michaels dancing) will affect or influence people. I had a short career trying to sell insurance for a while. I partnered up with this guy who was as friendly as he could be and he was very conservative And traditional. His politeness knew no bounds. Every time a woman would stand up or sit down at a meeting with us. He would jump to his feet immediately and stand until she had sat down or left before he would sit down again. That is very polite but it's also very outdated. Of course the first few meetings we had I forgot he did that so he left me looking like a jackass Because he stood and I didn't. But 1 day we were politely being declined. And as we were wrapping it up she scooted her chair back and he did his thing where he stood up. By this point I had started doing it as well so we didn't look like we weren't on the same page. You can't make this shit up. She was so overwhelmed with how polite and how little she sees that gesture. She told us to sit back down and she did sign up for a small policy with us. To be fair it wasn't some 180° we almost had her sold into something and she wanted to wait and think about it. His politeness made up her mind. I gave him 75% of the commision instead of 50% and I STILL stand when a woman sits or stands to this day.

Jim dumping Caty is one of the coldest break-ups I've ever seen.
What's his damn name? That's Bob Vance, Vance Refrigeration
What's Bob's line of work?
it was creed
"What line of work you in Bob?" - Ryans funniest line.
Dwight's feverish laugh is the sound of Dwight switching loyalties to the ranking authority figure.
He goes wherever they value loyalty the most.
PERFECTLY explained.
Sycophantic laughter.

This story is hilarious lmao
The line "It's a fake wheel dummy!" and Michael's expression after he says it crack me up every time
In real life Jim, Dwight, Michael, and several other people absolutely earned being fired many times over 😂
The vibes on this channel are just incredible
It’s a real good vibe here, I’m genuinely grateful tonight everyone. Enjoy the rest of the day 🤘🏽

As for being a veteran, evidently they're "suckers" because "there's nothing in it for them".
@playedout148
The fact that was said about our veterans by that subhuman will piss me off till the end of time.
This has to be one of my all-time favorite episodes from this entire show. It’s so good.
The Michael and Jim moments really are great, love them so much.
I definitely learnt a few dance moves from Michael this episode!
Also love the drama, the characters are all really cool.
Their bond is something special hahaha
My Saturday is complete, ty my guy
Anytime homie 🤘🏽
Mine too! Cheers!
at times this show transcends comedy and enters genuinely great drama. this is one of the first good episodes like that and theres much more to come.
I absolutely love how long "Just The Two Of Us" plays in this episode. It's like forever

The Globetrotters DID wind up on Gilligan's Island. TV Movie. Fact.
7:39 Michael dancing is one of my favorite moments in this, no idea how "sometimes you just have to be the boss of dancing" is not a meme.
One of my top 3 favorite episodes of the entire series!

There is not enough booze in the world to make me hang out with Michael

How dare you not remember, Bob Vance, Vance Refrigeration
I think Mike was imitating Martin Shorts Ed grimley dance from Snl.
For sure. Martin Short, Robin Williams and Steve Martin are his idols.
Appreciate you too
🙏🏽🙏🏽
You forgot the man’s name? That’s Bob Vance, Vance Refrigeration
